Nice course
Played this course on a Wednesday morning and while we weren't the only ones there, the pace was very fast. The course is in pretty good shape. The fairways are fabulous and the greens are in pretty good shape. The bunkers could have used some softening but you're not supposed to hit in there anyway. Overall, this is a nice course and I will definitely be playing it again. Just need to find another hotdeal on golfnow.
Fathers day
Course was in good shape. Greens were lightening fast. Was very dry but course has held up very well. Beautiful layout
Excellent condition
This course was in excellent condition from tee to green. However, most of the greens are a little smaller than the average course. Staff was very friendly.
Enjoyable Round of Golf
I played the course for the first time on a day when it rained on and off during the round and it had rained several days in a row before my round. The course was in surprisingly good shape and and held up well while we were playing. The setting is historic and the surroundings are beautiful. Elevation change is a big deal on this course, as are the relatively small greens. We played the course from the tips in the rain so we weren't getting a lot of roll, but the course felt long...especially the par threes. Overall, I thought the course was in excellent shape and we had a great time. Well worth the price and the time it takes to get there.
Good deal for the price
The course is in good shape. The fairways weren't completely in yet but seedless.
The greens are always slow compared to most all other courses.
If you use a golf GPS holes 4 and 9 have 2 greens
Be sure you are using the correct yardage.
KY Golf
This time of year in KY the only thing worth rating are the Greens. They were good and rolled true. I have played course many time and found it better in the past. If U are interested in history the cabin Lincoln lived in is on the course. They change yardage a lot. One trip it will play long. The next trip it will play much shorter. Worth the money.
Nice challenge for your buck
Greens in great shape along with the fringe and collars.
Good Value
The course was ok, nothing special. We played it on a Golfnow HotDeal. The greens were slow but consistent. The rough was uneven, there were some bare spots in the fairways and the teeing ground was sub-par but the layout is interesting, the weather was perfect and overall we enjoyed the day.
LH Bliss
Played from the tips and was in great condition. Hit every club in the bag
This is definitely a diamond. Bermuda fairways was like walking on a cloud.
Worth the Drive
Most of the fairways and greens were in excellent shape with lush grass in the fairways. A couple of tricky greens with the holes cut in the middle of penalizing slopes. A fairly long and windy drive from the Louisville area but worth it. There is no real "signature hole" as far as I am concerned, but a few log cabins here and there make it fairly scenic.
Course was OK
Overall the course was ok, however fairways were really rough ----almost like being pot holed everywhere.
Greens were in good shape---no complaints.
Many dead areas
Course is decent layout, but way too many dead areas. Greens mediocre, but too many unpredictable bounces due to bad course conditions on several holes.
Green in great shape
Great greens n friendly staff are the best things about this course. Loosing balls in the fairway due to heaps of grass clippings is frustrating.
Green are in excellent shape
Home course so I play it a lot. Greens are in excellent condition. Bermuda fairways are being restored from harsh winter on 1/3 of the holes. Blind holes on the front make the couse challanging. Back nine is more forgiving and gives you ample opportunity to make up for front nine dings.
Lincoln Homestead
Greens were nice, but fairways spotty. Course seemed lacking on maintenance. Bunkers in poor condition. Not bad for a hot deal, but at full price there are more attractive options.
will be better in the summer
In my opinion, the fairways should be redone in a grass that comes out sooner or, better yet, stays green through the fall, winter, and early spring. The fairways here stay brown until June and turn brown in late Sept. Greens were in good shape.
great day of golf
Really enjoyed my round of golf today. The Sun was shining temperature was warmwith was just a light wind and the golf course was in good condition. I was able to play 18 holes of golf in just under 4 hours. Really recommend if you live in the Louisville area that you try this golf course out.
Fun course
Will return. My family love the course. Along with hole 3 the history surrounding the tee box. Nice layout.
