Bulle Rock Golf Club

This is a good Donald Ross design course with plenty of doglegs and difficulties to avoid. Overall I thought the course was in good shape with a few fairways showing some wear. At least I did not have any 3 putts on these large and fast greens.

Course is still recovering from recent heat wave and green aerification. Pace was slow considering it was cart path only and the course is difficult. Staff was exceptional. Everyone was accommodating and welcoming. Overall great experience

I can sum up our experience by what my friend said as we stood on the par 5 15th tee: "Wow, this looks like a muni" . There are so many bad spots in the fairways. The tees aren't in good shape. The driving range was a sandy mess. The greens are still recovering from being punched a couple weeks ago, but I still don't see them being pristine any time soon. Even the signature Pete Dye "railroad ties" are overgrown and unkept.

I expected MUCH more from what many say is the best public course in Maryland. It seems to me like they are living off of past glory and euphoric recall. . There are AT LEAST 10 courses (5 in the Frederick area) in Maryland in WAY better shape than this one.

I don't play much golf in Maryland but there can't be many better golf facilities than this one. No two holes even remotely alike and with six sets of tees anyone can enjoy it.

This is a nice track that I highly recommend. It can play difficult at times but the layout is very nice. Conditions were great as well as pace of play. Staff extremely friendly too. Pro shop reminds you of a small golf store. Very large. .

Driving range a little far away but adequate. Very nice practice area otherwise.

It’s ranked as the number one course in Maryland, and because of that, it is priced accordingly. I’m not sure what makes it $100 a round course but would say at least play at once. Some of the best conditions you’ll find. A great value if you get it off peak times.

The course is terrific. The greens are in real nice shape and quick. Keep your ball below the hole. The fairways are undulating and can give you some tricky lies. They are in great shape thigh. Just an overall first class experience.

My son and I played this course for his birthday. Great course. It was in good condition. The staff was very professional. Layout is tough as you can get into tough spots but is enjoyable and fun to play. No complaints. We will be back.

Not much negative to say about my experience at Bulle Rock. Amenities were fantastic, staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, greens and fairways were in fantastic shape. Maybe the greens were a tad slower than I anticipated. Not muni slow but certainly not the quickest greens I've experienced.

Though I gave the pace of play 5 stars, I don't feel I am representative of when most people play. I played on a Tuesday morning when there was not a big crowd.

Another thing I always like to rate courses on is the condition of their sand traps and these were in awesome shape. I can say this confidently because I was in 7 of them during my round.

I very much look forward to playing this course again!
