Fun, beginner friendly course. That means a lot of beginners, which slows down the pace of play quite a bit. I could see that making for a frustrating experience for more experienced players, but I played with a friend who had not played in several years and it was perfect for us.
Easy Peezy
Nice flat, short course for beginners and an easy round to practice on for experienced players.
They won’t pair you up so if you’re somewhat intimidated by other players or being rushed, you won’t have that problem here.
Always Easy and Accessible
Great little nine hole track. Well maintained muni course. Terrific folks working at the Branch. No complaints at all. Great value.
My wife and i took our grand daughters for first golf course experience and truly had a great time with them as they played and enjoyed the game
A fun short course
This course is Extremely short. It has a lot of Par 3s tucked into 9 holes. The condition of the course was pretty nice. I went after a lot of rain, so there was a lot of water and some very soggy ground, but overall not bad for a public course. There is a lot of opportunity for more aggressive play and accuracy when teeing off. The difficulty is not very high, so it’s beginner friendly. The pace of play is atrocious during peak hours, though. A lot of inexperienced layers and back to back to back Par 3s can cause some serious backups where there really shouldn’t be any issues.
Wonderful Course
I've been going to Paint Branch for over a year now. Love it! Staff is wonderful and the course is challenging.
Easy and Fun
If you’re looking for a quick 9 with low hazards and easy access to tee times look no further. It’s simple, clean, and friendly. Sometimes gets busy early on the weekend but just play with pace and courtesy and you’ll be fine. Folks working here are great. For the money you can’t beat THE BRANCH.
A good 9 hole course
Course is well maintained and not too crowded on weekdays. Fairways and greens are generous. Nice place to play for the value.
Have to pay even if not playing!
For the first time coming to this golf course. A two hr drive to spend time with family. This course is decent and only a 9 hole course. No spectators allowed and can’t watch anyone play unless you pay for golfing and bring your golf bag or tent a bag. This is the only way to be in the field and use a cart. And it wasn’t even packed. These rules should change. If someone likes to go and watch someone play it should be okay to just rent a cart and not have to pay as if I’m playing. Dumb rules. Will not go back!
Prices didn't match what shown on GolfPass
I ended up paying more money because the fare shown during the booking process on golfpass apparently was not the correct one.
