Average course. Very narrow on many holes. Could be improved if cleaned up more. Too many trees with overhanging branches just in front of and next to the tee boxes and along fairways. Grass about an inch too high when off fairway. Very easy to lose balls. Cart paths in below average condition need repairs. Thought I lost a kidney on some of the potholes. Greens were decent. Will probably play again unless I can get better maintained and cared for course for similar price.
3 holes closed due to water but the other 15 were fine
There had been a lot of rain the night before and 3 holes were closed due to water. The conditions also meant cart path only. Somewhat surprisingly, the holes that were open were virtually dry. No wet shoes, balls or clubs. For better or worse, the greens were relatively fast. I ended up in two sand traps during the round. Fortunately, I took relief due to the damp sand.
Short but challenging
The course is short but dont let that fool you. It is challenging. Many holes are tight with junk area surrounding it. The other main issue is the tee boxes arent cut that well, the rough has varying heights (maybe bc it has rained recently so they werent able to mow) and the greens are not uniform and dont roll true. I will give it the benefit of the doubt and perhaps by mid June it will be more well kept
Good value for the money
Course condition was better than the last time I played. Didn’t seem like anyone was monitoring the pace of play. The GPS-monitored carts are problematic.
Challenging layout, well kept course
Challenging short course.. great layout. Greens were a bit slow but mainly due to weather not cooperating lately (too much rain to cut them). Very well kept course. Great staff, friendly and knowledgeable. Only recommendation would be to have coffee machines working. Haha.
Blah course with poor conditions
I’ve played fairway a lot over the years (mostly with coupons because it’s not worth the regular price generally) and while some things have improved, the overall conditions haven’t. Honestly it’s mostly the greens that are essentially unputtable. There’s patches of dirt throughout every green and it’s been that way for over a year. Fairways are ok tee boxes are bad, but the greens are truly terrible. Staff is generally friendly and the newer carts are sweet but that’s about it. You get better conditions playing the baltimore city munis tbh.
