Waverly Woods Golf Course

Course is in decent condition, but the pins were on slopes on every hole (illegal pins). It was very hard to play a leisurely round when every pin is in an unplayable spot. Pace of play was roughly 5 hours.

It's a great course and we enjoyed a lot..again. We play once a month and it's been consistently satisfying in many ways.

Drive is 45 minutes and passes a number of course in Baltimore County. The staff is friendly and efficient and the course well maintained.

I haven't played here is a few years, and it was in great shape, no issues anywhere and the greens rolled nice. Not too many flat greens, they all have some movement, but read and rolled them well. Enjoyed it.

I played this course in late March and was very impressed with the turf conditions for that time of year. Greens were also in good shape and the setup was fair.

I recently played at Waverly Woods Golf Club, and unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing.

When I made my tee time, I was not informed that two holes would be closed. This was never mentioned during booking, and I only found out after arriving to play. As a paying customer, I expect full transparency—especially when course conditions impact the overall experience. Playing with two holes closed changes the flow and value of the round, and that should absolutely be communicated in advance.

The course itself is typically enjoyable, but the lack of communication really put a damper on the day. I hope management improves their communication with customers so others don’t have the same frustrating experience.

Course was in great shape for late Oct. Overall a challenging but not Hard course. Greens were good - fairways in great shape. Would recommend.

...That they had recently aerified. I love the course, and still very much enjoyed the round, but I like to be notified when aerifying has happened. In fairness to the staff, the sanded greens weren't too bad, but the fact that the practice green wasn't punched seemed a bit deceptive.
