Golfer Reviews
Good course for the money
Played on a Sunday and practically had the course to myself. Good course for mid to high handicappers. Course was wet which made the greens super soft but otherwise course was in great shape for October
Decent play
It was a good course layout, didn’t like that some of the par 5’s layouts, made it difficult to make up shots. It rained yesterday and course was a little flooded but it’s to be expected. I’d play it again.
Good course, but…
A very nice course That I’ve played before. But on this day, the greens were in really bad shape. Obviously there’s been some work done on the greens recently. I’ll have to get back when the course is back to normal.
Bad course conditions for the money
Another course where the greens are in horrible shape, but no discount for golf. I understand that golf courses cannot always be in the best shape, but when their greens are filled with crab grass and bare spots there should be a discount. They are charging full price. I paid $40.00 with a Hot Deal, which was too much. The cart GPS system kept locking up. Also they use all yellow flags and they do not match up with the pin sheets. Lucky I had my range finder. The best and most simplest system is the Red,White,Blue flags. There is question on where the flag is and no need to get confused on pin sheets.
Greens in bad shape
Greens on the Front nine especially are in bad shape. Back nine was a bit better. Bunkers need work, and pace of play was slow for a Thursday afternoon. Decent course to walk.
Greens are bad!
Whatever the reasons are, the putting greens were in awful condition! Lots of bare spots in all 18 putting greens! Tee boxes and fairways are in excellent shape though. If they can get the greens in better shape, i would love to go back to play.
Just ok
Tee boxes were ok, fairways were good greens were almost unputtable. A LOT of burned spots on the greens. I literally had to take a lateral "drop" on 11 greens to have a decent chance take my putts.
Fun Course with Some TLC Needed
I enjoyed this course. It's hilly with a few flatter holes. The hilliness makes club choices even more important than usual, and it took me a few holes to figure this out. Once I did, I played better and the outing became more enjoyable. The carts have GPS,. with is a definite plus. The pace of play was somewhat slow, but this was because there were a lot of folks playing that day, which is understandable, and patience was required. Staff was okay. Not a big pro-shop, but well organized. Driving range is strictly "mats only." Tee boxes and fairways were in very good condition, but the greens were not. EVERY green needed ALOT of TLC, perhaps even complete ado-over--their condition definitely hampers putting. I assume their very poor condition was due to weather conditions over the season. The layout of the course itself is quite interesting and added to the fun, despite the poor condition of the greens. A few blind drives, doglegs, and uphill and downhill shots. Some tight fairways, lots of little creeks and high, dense grassy areas over which to hit (or into which to lose your ball). Once the greens are restored, this becomes a four-star course, IMHO. At the moment, I would still recommend the course to others, because playing it was a fun and challenging experience.
