Course was in good shape, group in front of us was slow
The course was in good shape and fun to play. Good setup. Group in front of us was very slow, but the Marshall came out and pushed them.
Very well kept for this weather
I've seen a lot of burned out greens and fairways in recent weeks but PB Dye was well manicured and very lush. Greens rolled true and consistent. Everything was tended to. Heard they had a tourney the next day but if the course is that pristine all the time I'll definitely return. Great layout and def a challenging golf course. Played from the tips (first time in a long time) and got the full experience.

A Great Challenge!!
If you like to play a challenging courses, then this the course. There are many blind shots along with forced carry shots. The course was in great shape the fairways just perfect. The greens rolled nice..

Terrible shape
This course used to be in excellent condition but no longer. From Greens to rough, it is not taken care of. Most municipal courses are better kept. Terrible shame since the layout is excellent and it used to be phenomenal.

Challenging course
PB Dye has a variety of interesting holes. one uses nearly every club in the bag. You have to work the ball 2 ways off the tee. Par 5s are reachable with good shots. It's one of the better upscale daily fee courses in the greater DC area.

I have played P.B. Dye many times. It is routinely in good shape. There are some holes that will prove difficult for 20+ handicaps.

course has great features BUT
Great course with tricky green. However no marshall to monitor speed of play.

Great Value
This was our first time at PB Dye and we were very impressed. The staff could not have been more friendly. Pace of place was excellent. The course is very scenic and was in good shape. Greens are undulating but rolled true. The clubhouse is upscale and has the feel of a private country club. Green fees were comparable to municipal courses. We will most certainly be back

Very Good Experience
Bag Drop, Pro Shop, and course staff were all extremely welcoming and knowledgeable. Course was in great shape except for the bunkers - some were firm and even muddy.
The only negative was the bar staff - she was extremely unfriendly and not helpful.
We apologize for the few issues you ran into during your round. We appreciate your feedback as we will use it to our benefit in bettering our course. Otherwise, we are happy to hear you had a very good experience and we hope you come back in the future!
No Beverage Cart
They didn't have a Beverage Cart the Entire Day.
Definitely bothers me when a Golf Course on a Beautiful day in the Middle of the Summer doesn't have one.

First time playing PB Dye
Beautiful layout, challenging course, tricked out with many blind tee shots, elevation changes, sloping fairways, forced carries, thick rough, large greens, and extremely difficult around the greens. Course was in good shape, only maintenance issue was the large amount of brown clumps of cut grass in the rough.

Excellent condition and course layout
Weather was lousy as it rained the entire round but course was in great shape and still was a joy to play. Definitely a must play if you're in the area.

Beautiful course. Nice and open with good elevation change and some dramatic holes (downhill par 3 11th is spectacular). Would definitely visit again.

Shows Promise
Had the opportunity to play here for the 1st time in a while! Really, the only down side was Clubhouse was not open 18 minutes before the 1st tee time of the day. The new Superintendent has been making great strides in bringing the course back! I believe, weather cooperating, it should be really good in a few weeks.

Great course
Great layout, challenging 18 holes. Length of holes is the challenge on some, but the #1 challenge is always your approach shot. You MUST be on the correct level of the green or you will have a rough time getting it close. Course conditions were excellent even though huge rainstorm came through the area.

Beautiful setting for a golf course that's in good shape except for greens still recovering from spring aeration. Still, something about the layout feels 'over designed' with too many blind shots from tees/fairways and several greens with exaggerated undulations.

Great course but needs some upkeep
The course has a great layout that is fun and challenging. The staff is incredible and very friendly. The only problem is that it is early in the season and the course could be in better shape which I think it will be with a few weeks. Will be playing here again.
