Maple Run Golf Course

Maple run is a great place to get a round in! If you are playing solo or have a foursome you will enjoy this course. Relax golf attire it’s a laid back inexpensive day over there! You can not beat the price, don’t expect pga conditions but keep the ball in play and you will score nice and build confidence. Everyone that works there is awesome friendly and approachable.

Love playing this course. It’s a good distance but I don’t mind. Fun.

Excellent value! Great layout course design. Not manicured to the perfection we are accustomed to in today's golf world, but this is still a fun course to play. The greens are nicer in warm weather months. The cart paths are in extreme need of repair, meanwhile, this is a very walkable course as an option. All carts are very old and every cart has severely damaged seats (duct tape repairs on many). Aesthetics of amenities aside, this is a fun course to play.

This is a beautiful course tucked away in Thurmont. Using the Golfnow App I booked a tee time the night before for $28.00. That included my cart. This course is opened enough for beginners but still challenging enough to keep you on your toes. The course does have its draw backs however. Some holes are wet and have sitting water in the middle of the fairways. Also, some of the tee boxes are in BAD shape. The pro shop and snack bar is in need of am update and is bare. Definite need an overhaul. The carts do their job but most are slow and in need of repair cosmetically. There is a putting green however it's almost out of the way and isn't very noticeable. The staff are extremely friendly and it's a laid back course. I highly recommend if you're looking for an okay course that's open but challenging. Definitely a great place for a decent round of golf with a great price point!

Maple Run is a great challenging course for the money. Several dog leg holes and a couple with water features. The sand traps could use a little work. Also, I would recommend they put the grass seed mixture on the carts so players could fix their divots. The fairways are in great shape, and the rough is just that very rough. We've been there 2 times and the pace of play was great, a round of golf in 3-4 hours. I definitely will return.

Staff really never looked up to say beside ask what tee time I had. They never even mentioned the other 3 players from the tee time which I found was odd. The cart seat was ripped on the drivers side and it seemed like every cart had the same identical part of the cushion missing. Two gentlemen that were playing in the group behind asked to join which made the day more enjoyable. Overall for the money it wasn't bad but I wouldn't go out of my way to play here.
