Golfer Reviews
Fun Par 3 & 4 Course! ✌️❤️⛳️
Go have fun at this windy par 3 and 4 course! It’s better to go on a warmer day because of the wind... This course will really test your iron control and short game accuracy.... Peace and God Bless you! ✌️❤️⛳️
Needs Work
Greens are in need of repair, hopefully next spring. Also, many fairways. However, good basic layout for exec type course and good potential with some TLC and money. New ownership could be a good sign.
Was Hoping For Better
Today was the first time in a while I had played Willow Springs....the first since the clubhouse burned down. I don't know if I will go back again. To begin with, the lady running the cash register was easily overwhelmed, and it caused me to miss my tee time. I also was charged extra for riding in a cart by myself, even though 1 guy in my foursome walked and the other 2 were father and son and rode together. The starter was not helping with the stress level of the cashier by radioing in that she had 9 singles waiting to go out, even though no one went out behind us for at least 30 minutes. On the back nine, the starter (Kim) became the ranger. She yelled at me for driving in the area between 16 and 17...which I kind of understand with 16 being a par 3....but I also was careful to stay away from 16 and toward 17 while looking for my tee shot off 16. (I'll also note the group in front us was routinely driving up to the green on most holes.) Then, on 18, I was helping the other guys look for their balls and then drove to my ball, which was about 100 yards out. Here comes the ranger yelling at me again to get my cart back to the path. I'm 100 yard out on a par 4....my cart on the fairway should not be an issue! This isn't the best-maintained course to begin with....and you know that going into your round. But I felt it was ridiculous for the ranger to be harassing me, especially on #18.
Nice executive course!
nice public golf course ..open layout , plenty par 3 holes
Ok little course
Not a bad little course. The fairway grass is a little long and overall the course is weedy from green to tee box.
I enjoyed the course but probably won’t hurry back to play it again.
Par 62 with Interesting and challenging mix of holes.
Greens were slow , shaggy, with bare spots.
Fairways shaggy
Nice executive course
While this is a smaller course it can still be challenging. Part of the challenge is putting on those greens when they aren’t kept. When the course is kept up it is very nice and more than worth the price, when it isn’t you remind yourself you aren’t paying $60 to play a round. This is a great course to walk and good for all ages to play.
Value Play
This course is one of the best values in the area. Considering the price point the course is kept in fairly good condition. Some of the greens are in need of work and following heavy rain the shaded tee box can be sloppy. I play courses throughout Central Md and there are many courses that are in better condition but for at least twice the price.
The course layout gives you an opportunity to work on all aspects of your game. Bigger than an executive course but not a full regulation 70-72 (Par 62). Short game control and accuracy is a must. Rough is forgiving enough for beginners to still enjoy playing though.
Hole in one.
How can it get any better? Don’t forget to look in the cup when you should be on the green and can’t find your ball! I hit a 7 iron 127 yards for an Eagle on the 9th hole. First game in 3 years due to surgery.
