Links at Challedon

Well, the course played firm and hard, possibly due to the lack of rain. Very firm around some greens and fairways and missing grass was noticeable. . Played behind a foursome of ladies that lacked both knowledge of pace (multiple holes open ahead of them), awareness and the ability to recognize a twoball following them for six holes. And they refused to allow play through.

The greens are terrible. The tea boxes are uneven at best. Fairways are OK rough is beautiful.

I would play this course again, excellent conditions, solid clubhouse, nice staff

There were ground boring hornets on a good number of the greens and bunkers. Fortunately they weren’t aggressive or it would have been very dangerous to play here. I actually just left a ball in one of the bunkers because of the number of hornets flying around it. Greens were rough from poorly repaired or unrepaired ball marks.

I've played Challedon once or twice a year since it opened. Pace of play is often too slow historically to my liking. That said, it's a nice layout. We had a mid-day tee time on Monday, and our foursome played in 4 hours flat.

Got this on a Hot Deal for $35 using a $10 reward and some points. The course was in good, not great shape. Tee and greens are suffering some from the heat wave. The bunkers however were 5 star. I went in enough to know!

I love their warmup area, range, chipping area, bunker and putting green are all excellent. The food here is very good, and the cart girl, on a Monday, helped make a good round better. Not every course has a cart girl during the week.

Overall pretty impressed with the layout. Fairways were great but greens were pretty beat up with ball marks from folks NOT repairing them. Were pretty quick with some nice undulation throughout.

***Fellow golfers please repair your ball marks! The greens keeper would appreciate it..***

We played on a weekday. The course was in great condition. They've been improving the tee boxes. The only challenge today was the cart path only rule after some heavy rain the night before. Could have implemented 90 degree rule without issue on this weekday. But that's the courses call. Always fun playing here

Except the tee boxes were uneven where they placed the tee shots from. You were often standing over your ball when your drove. Pace of play was relatively slow even for a Saturday. We were moving decently on the front but when we got to 10 we probably waited 15-20 minutes and it didn't improve from there. There were several marshals out but it didn't seem to help, likely a standard overbooked Saturday. Overall, it was a great round though and the fairways and greens were in great shape. Got this on a $60 deal with the golf now hot times which is definitely worth it, not sure I'd pay $92 which is a non discounted rate.

This was my first time playing a round here and it was such a joy! The golf shop attendant who checked me in was super nice as was the starter Chris. Both made me feel welcome!

Paired with another single and a twosome who were really nice folks. Course was very interesting with some tricky shots so it was good to play with folks who knew the course. Course was in excellent shape! Just a very enjoyable and fun outing on a busy Sunday.

Teed off as a foursome at 715 and finished at 11:16. Pace was great. Greens and fairways very nice. Bermuda tees starting to come in.

The course layout is a little funky. A LOT of white stakes all over the place. Too many blind shots for my liking. All that being said, I thought the greens rolled really well. Pace of play was not very good either. I think that's a problem across the board though. Too many slow players.

Challenging but fair course. Course in very good shape. Great customer service. Excellent food and drinks. Highly recommend. Great pace of play.

Played The Links of Challedon recently and honestly couldn’t ask for a better round. Pace of play was perfect the whole way through and you could tell it was being kept an eye on, which made a big difference.

Course conditions were great. Greens were rolling fast and in really good shape, which made it a fun challenge. Fairways and rough both looked well taken care of too.

Everything just felt dialed in. Seems like the course is being run by people who actually care right now. I’d definitely recommend it and would bring friends back without hesitation.
