Course closed
I went to the course and it was closed and it said to contact golf now for a refund. I would like a refund.
Front 9 is closed
Didn’t know it and golf now said nothing about it but the front 9 on this course odd closed for repair until further notice. Don’t play here right now. Wait until it reopens
Tough test
Greens were tiny and still recovering from punching. Played back nine twice as noted in other reviews but would have been nice to know up front. Tight tree lined fairway make it fun if you can hit it straight, I would play it again for sure once the front reopens
Only nine holes open
I was not informed of the nine hole closure, or the fact the course was freshly punched. None of this was available online. I was looking for an 18 hole course and this one did not meet my needs. Full communication would’ve been much advised.
Only back 9 open!
I typically love fairway hills, but they’re doing ‘maintenance’ on some part of the front 9 and have the whole front 9 closed. They didn’t tell me this before booking and paying and told me to just play the back 9 twice. I would have booked somewhere else if I had known.
Wish they would have told me
Sure would have liked to know that all the greens were being aerated before I booked my round…
What a gem!
I was pleasantly surprised with the entire facility. Great condition. Awesome layout. Staff was super friendly. I look forward to playing here again.
Ehhh
Course was in ok shape with some issues on some holes. But for what they are charging $70 for a “weekend” rate, I would have thought it was in better shape than Walden (also trash).
A bit of everything
Some hills, water, shots with carry, tight fairways - makes it fun and interesting to play.
Course has fallen apart over the years
I remember growing up in Columbia and fairway hills being in great shape. This is the first time I’ve played in a couple years and it has fallen apart. Tee boxes overgrown, most of the greens are in horrible shape and all the bunkers are just dirt. CA must just care about hobbits glen as this course I wouldn’t pay more than $50 to play.
First time and not the last time
Overall conditions were very good. A few bunkers needed some work and greens were still recovering from aeration. Tees and fairways are in great shape. Appreciate the water stations, especially the one at the clubhouse. Pace of play was great teed off at 11 on a thursday and done in just over 3 and a half hours. Staff was friendly and looking forward to a return visit when the greens are back to normal.
Totally impressed!
The staff was friendly, the green fees were reasonable, and the course was in excellent condition. I can’t wait for my next opportunity to play there!!
