Willow Springs Golf Course

Long grass in the tee boxes and fairways make this course much more difficult and frustrating than it should be. Lots of crabgrass and conspicuous bald spots on the greens. The good news is that we spoke to the pro, who indicated that he was working with the new owners to make improvements.

Course didnt seem to be well maintained. The fairways were like roughs and the roughs were like...woof...good luck finding your ball in the rough. Greens were patchy and had weeds throughout. Staff was friendly and helpful. Price wasn't bad but definitely got what we paid for.

My tee time was overbooked for some reason by 5 teams.

Staffs didn’t know why it happened.

Maintenance of green and tee box is really poor.

It’s only for practice not for fun or joy.

Please resurface the greens. Horrible condition. Other than that, it's a fun round of golf.

Played here for the first time and I have mixed feelings. This could be a very fun course that helps hone in your irons, but the course was in rough condition. The greens were extremely spotty and had a lot crab weed (causes bumps). Fairways were not cleaned up after cutting, so had chunks of dead grass everywhere. The rough was ROUGH. Balls that landed right next to the greens could not be found because the grass was long and thick. The worst part was the pace of play. The group in front of us were college kids who did not know how to play at all and were just messing around in the middle of the fairway. They took 20+ mins a hole, but so was the group in front of them.

This is great course for first time golfers or those looking to tune up the wedge or small iron game.

I typically shoot and 87 because of how short this course can be I average 70 to 75 here. Obviously you know where the strong side of my game is.

Staff is always friendly.

Only down sides are a few greens and how the sun hits you on the driving range outside of that you are in the clear!

My wife and I were excited about playing this course for the first time. We were very disappointed at the condition of the course. Nothing had been cut. The tees were more rough then a tee box. The fairways were very long and the rough was US Open rough. The greens need tender loving care since they have crab grass on them. No one fixes ball marks so we fixed at least 10 a hole. If this course was being cared for, it would be a wonderful layout. I would not recommend playing here due to the conditions.

Course is in Poor condition. However it is a fun course to play. Makes you work on your short game. Can beat the price for the area. Down side, didnt see a beverage cart all game.

The greens were not in good condition at all. There were some that were burned out and others that had weeds growing in them. Made putting more challenging. My 10 year old son didn't seem to mind though, so we enjoyed ourselves.

Challenging Executive golf course. Very nice people working there. Easy to access right off I-70. The prices are very reasonable!!

Wow! It takes a really poorly kept course to get a bad review from me, but this course did it! It is awful, full of crabgrass and weeds, green have weeds too , bare spots and are just awful. I was so disappointed in this place. Will not go back, even if it was free.

For those unfamiliar with this course's history, it's been through some lean years and recently came under new management. As such, it's far from perfect, but having seen it at its low point, I can certainly say it's moving in the right direction.

Fairways, rough, and tee boxes were all in great shape. The greens probably need the most work, but they also take the longest to fix so it's not a shock that progress on them hasn't been instant. With any luck they'll get it fixed soon, but that's my only real complaint re: course condition.

As always, the course layout is fun. It's all Par 4's and 3's (and most of the Par 4's are only about 300 yards) so you won't be hitting your driver, but there's enough of a challenge to make things interesting. It's a great opportunity to work on your irons and chipping.

There is a full (30+ bay) driving range but I didn't use it, so I can't comment on the condition. I played on a weekday and walked 18 holes for $18, more than a fair deal.

All in all, the course isn't perfect, but it's moving in the right direction and it's scenic enough to merit at least one round.

Greens need work. New owners are working to improve. Otherwise an adequate 2 hour plus 18 hole tune up. Would not hesitate to recommend.
