Slow pace
Pros: Course condition, staff friendliness
Cons: tee boxes need work, pace of play was terrible. Started by hole 5 and by the back 9 was waiting 10 mins on every tee box.
Westminster Wins!!!!
The course was in great shape and the layout of the course is challenging but not over the top difficult. Greens were taken care of and the elevated tee boxes were a nice addition but they could use some maintenance(more turf). I will definitely be going back and tackling the par 3 where the green is elavated above the tee box and plays about 200 yards. It reminds me of the 10th hole at Blue Ridge Shadows in Virginia...very challenging.
Small Tough Greens
Course was tough as the greens were pretty fast and difficult to hit with approach shots - they are elevated and upside bowl … balls roll off if you not putting it on correct spots with holding spin.
Worst layout in the area
I have played here a few times and every time I do I hate the course more. From the dome shaped greens with pin placements out of a green keepers revenge, to the un-leveled tee boxes, this course is just brutal. Price is not bad but that’s about it. 2/10 rating from me and will drive past this course to play PA courses. If you’re short on time or struggling to find a tee time, then this place is for you.
Enjoyed the round. Enjoyed the playing partner. Good course. A little confusing to navigate around but good bang for buck. Would come back.
