Acushnet River Valley Golf Course

With the drought and hot summer it’s hard finding a course in this good of shape.

Also playing 18 holes here is like playing on two different courses but in a good way! The front 9 is more tight with trees lining the fairways…the back 9 opens up to resemble a links style course which is wide open with plenty of par 5s for you long ball hitters.

The ONE major call out has to be the hornets. Not sure what’s going on there, but on probably half the holes and a bunch of the sand traps there were ground hornet nests that essentially made that area unplayable. There was one tee box that we couldn’t play from due to the hornets. Still I’d gladly play this course again and will be considering it for a season pass come next year!

With the heat and lack of rain I’m very surprised the course was in such great shape. The yardages are awesome for an average golfer, challenging at times but not extremely difficult. Wish I lived closer I’d be a member.

Womens room poor condition. Broken stall lock, broken toilet seat, no paper towels. Needs a renovation

Have played this course several times recently and have been well satisfied with this super course. Always in excellent condition. It provides you with all the challenges one may look for. Great staff & very friendly.

Highly recommend, well maintained and a very good golfing experience. Greens a bit longer than expected but in very good shape. Hats off to the superintendent.

We scheduled and paid for 18 holes foursome and were put out behind a league at 3:45 PM which slowed us down to a standstill on the front 9 . No course closing early restrictions were explained or noted in the reservation

We were then kicked off before we could finish with our last 2 holes to go and plenty of daylight.and only maybe 10 shirt minutes to finish our round . Who ever the course manager is he needs a lesson in customer service he was rude and extremely argumentative all we wanted to do was play the 18 we paid for and we were playing a 4 man scramble format so our pace of play on the back nine was brisk

Terrible customer service will not return plenty of other courses who are glad to have golfers out there

Have now played this course several times and I look forward to returning. You can’t go wrong it provides you with all challenges available including a friendly staff.

Great course always in great condition can’t beat the price especially if you can get deal on golf now or tee off

The pace was a bit slow but that is to be expected on a Sunday holiday weekend. Always enjoy this course, greens were a bit slow but it is in great shape. Low handicappers might find it a bit easy but mid to high handicappers will enjoy it!

The course itself was great. Well maintained and a lot of very attainable and well layed-out holes. Me and my friend’s issue was the guy letting out the carts who was the rudest person I have ever encountered at a golf course. He very rudely demanded a receipt and when I told him I had misplaced it and I could show him my PREPAID reservation confirmation on my phone with the date and everything he said he needed a receipt or we don’t play. I eventually found it and gave it to him and he made fun of me for misplacing it (after no one told me I had to hold on to it). He then gave us issues for being 15 minutes EARLY to our tee time. He then paired us with another two-some, which was fine, but then immediately let out a non-paired up two-some half-way through our first hole who caught up to us within a hole or two. He made fun of us for our lack of experience and was just a generally miserable guy. I wish I could recommend this course to others because it is a decently well done course, but from what I’ve heard that guy is a huge reason people don’t come back so I would say skip this place and go somewhere else decent in the area. Rochester golf club, for example, is like 5-10 minutes away and is a much better atmosphere and great quality golf for under 20 dollars. It will be better for your money and you won’t have to deal with some miserable man killing your mood the second you walk out of the clubhouse. I don’t know how to describe the guys appearance but just stay clear of the old guy who radiates unhappiness, that’s probably him.

How can you not like this course. It is an terrific shape, very challenging and enjoyable. Staff is always very friendly highly recommended. This is a gem of a course

Hadn't played Acushnet in years. Always a favorite of ours, great condition, pleasant staff, challenging course. We played in 4:15 which I thought was pretty good. We'll be back soon..
