Get what you pay for great overall experience
18 holes walking under 20 bucks can't beat it. Get that practice in. Fairways very rough. Greens quite good

Not bad for the money
Course was in ok shape, but you pay for what you get. If you’re looking to get out and get your swing tuned up before heading out to spend $75-$100 for 18 holes, then this place is good for that. Very affordable, decent layout.

Always a DELIGHT
Playing here is so peaceful yet challenging! You could really swing your clubs on this course and if you hit a great tee shot...the second hit just might be on the greens!
I will definitely play here again and would recommend it to many.

Great course, very forgiving
First time this spring, as expected the course was under maintenance. Temporary tee boxes, but the price was adjusted accordingly. Greens weren't bad, surprisingly. Fairly wide open course, very forgiving. Employees are fantastic and very friendly.

Grown to Love Golfing at Stone-E-Lea
I have grown to find Stone-E-Lea to be a challenging and fun course. It took me a while to accept all the 'roll' on at least several of the holes. What seems like a nice straight shot into the middle of the fairway often takes quite a roll into the woods. Disappointing! On the other hand, I sometimes get longer than I should drives and fairway shots because of the roll. The fairways are not always 'nice grass'. I've come to accept the conditions as 'it is what it is'. The staff is so nice, they make golfers of all abilities feel welcome. When the course is busy it is possible to get behind a slow group. This happens everywhere. I find the layout of the course interesting. It's not the longest of courses, I speak from the red tees, but that works for me. The price to play is very reasonable. There's variety among the holes. I have been told the dry conditions result from their inability to adequately water the course. I accept this. I am happy that I can support the lovely family who runs this course while enjoying the golfing.
