About
Maplegate Country Club sprawls across 150 acres of gently rolling hills that are blanketed with forests of stately maple, oak, beech, and white pine trees. The golf course is situated just off of I-495 along the border between Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Although the location is seemingly isolated, it’s conveniently only 45 minutes from Boston. The course plays harder than it looks with a diverse layout that will test you with a variety of different shots. Maplegate Country Club's front nine features more target-style golf but you'll get to pull out your driver on the back nine. There are some tough holes, but it's not overly punishing for the high handicapper. The variety that the golf course offers made it the natural choice to host U.S. Open Qualifiers in both in 1998 and 2001.

The Gate is in wonderful shape!
The course is in spectacular condition…lush , full June foliage…fairways pristine, and the greens are in beautiful shape. The cart path needs some attention here and there, mostly on slopes.
Great course
Rangers were a little on top of the parties but pace of play was good and greens were great. Cute little snack shack.

Cant Wait to Go Back
First time playing this course on a cloudy afternoon. Course was wide open and was paired with another single. The front 9 was really challenging as I was not familiar with layout, hazards etc - but the condition was incredible. The back 9 was a bit easier but still challenging. A lot of hills and the greens were challenging but fair - with a lot of breaks to deal with. Overall - I really enjoyed playing here and have told multiple friends already. I cannot wait to come back!

Great Shape
Played 18 with my dad here the other day. Our tee time was 144, but we showed up early to hit the range and ended up sneaking on about 130. Breezed through 8 but caught up to two groups ahead of us and kind of slow to finish.
Unreal shape though. First time playing. Great track

Maplegate
I thought the course was in great shape. It had rained the previous two days the bunkers were hard packed. Pace of play is good if you’re walking. Two foursomes in front of us were walking and we were riding so we caught them on every hole. So it was just a couple minutes wait at the Teebox to tee off.

Good to be back
First time in ‘24 and enjoyed this unique course as always…it offers challenge and rewards for every level with the tee box spread. A must if one enjoys a some target golf in their round.

Nice course, but steep.
Playing late November, with 2-hour frost delays and still having to pay mid-season rates is kind of bogus. Although they were rolling nice, there was a thousand leaves on every green.

Surprisingly difficult
This course is a gem. It offers a lot of challenge, great views and is priced for the area. The grounds are well kept and the staff friendly. It only has a shack for check in with hotdogs and chips.
