About
Maplegate Country Club sprawls across 150 acres of gently rolling hills that are blanketed with forests of stately maple, oak, beech, and white pine trees. The golf course is situated just off of I-495 along the border between Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Although the location is seemingly isolated, it’s conveniently only 45 minutes from Boston. The course plays harder than it looks with a diverse layout that will test you with a variety of different shots. Maplegate Country Club's front nine features more target-style golf but you'll get to pull out your driver on the back nine. There are some tough holes, but it's not overly punishing for the high handicapper. The variety that the golf course offers made it the natural choice to host U.S. Open Qualifiers in both in 1998 and 2001.

nice place
Played here for the second time this year. Course was in very good shape. Speed of play seemed slow but we did play in 4 hours and 20 min. I still think $69 for walking is a lot and you would be hard-pressed to convince me otherwise.
Nice course, not nice staff
I had not played here in several years & now I remember why. Very friendly when checking in at the clubhouse, but went straight downhill at the first tee!
We were the 2nd group out, all 4 of us are very experienced & FAST players. We got attitude from the starter from the get go, and then a Ranger followed our group for the first 5 holes.
The course was in nice shape, but just the actions of the starter & Ranger, will keep me & my friends away from here. We finished the round in 3:57 , we all play a LOT of golf & won’t be back anytime soon

Worth playing
While visiting friends nearby I searched the area on Golf Now. Reviews were good so I booked it,
Challenging course. On a number of holes you to hit over hazards. Some from the tee others on the second( or third) shot .
Water comes in to play on a few holes as well.

Can be challenging for a beginner, but would be fun for most

Great Day
What can I say what a great day of golf. I’ve played Maplegate for 15 years and it’s never been in better shape. My son lost his 6 iron I found a ranger and asked if he could go back and see if it was found. By the next hole up comes the ranger with the 6 iron. Such a friendly staff 4 hr round will continue to play this course. A++

Well designed course
With a long par 5 to open the front 9, i found myself in love with this course and even after 1. 2 -18 continues to demand accuracy off the tee and I had a great time meeting that challenge. I had two missed eagle opportunities this time, so i hope to come back and capitalize on those soon!

Below average - overpriced
$91 for 5 1/2 hour round with carts that die on course no thx.

Nice Conditions
Course conditions very good for early May. Greens not very fast.

Spring round
The greens had ben recently aerated and top dressed so hard to give the course an "A" but I realize it is absolutely necessary to do this to keep them in shape for the summer golf season. Still enjoyed myself...played with members which helped me navigate my way around.
