TOUGH BUT CHALLENGING

My first time ever experience at Bradford was a challenging yet fun experience for both me a higher handicapper as well as my nephew who shoots close to par. He shot a 73 and I broke 100.

The layout of the course requires precision. There is no mercy for slices, hooks or even fades or draws. Best to be down the middle as the fairways are narrower and chances of hitting the first or second cut are very high. Also, on many holes I recommend "scouting" out the hole as there are several doglegs and hills that hide what's ahead.

One hole in particular number twelve a par five definitely helped to scout ahead

Tight with length from blues

The slope rating is low for this course, much more challenging then you think. Not many holes can you use driver and your tee shot must be pristine or birdie is out of the question and par becomes a challenge.

very narrow

The course is not long, but for a weekend player, not much fun. Very narrow fairways and if you are not on the fairways you were in trouble. Alot of turns, so on almost every shot, you had to play for your next shot. Put the driver away for the back nine and shot 11 strokes better.

Terrific value for a solid course!

This course was a great value for $25 on GOLFNow we went out on a weekday afternoon and didn't have to wait on a single tee box. Course in solid condition, excellent fairways and greens. Tee boxes could use a little work but overall a fun and challenging course. Also whats interesting here is you get to play "2 Completely Different Courses" between the front and the back 9. Front being flat with water and the back much more hills and elevation changes, definitely made it more interesting and challenging.

PS ONE PROBLEM: The 18th hole is a short par 3? Even though it is clearly designed for a long Par 5 finishing hole. The tee areas and fairway are still there but they Simply threw tee boxes near the end of the hole to make it about a 160yrd par 3. Not sure why?

Tight and short

This is one of those neighborhood golf courses where your basically playing through peoples properties. If you can't hit it straight I wouldn't play here. Extremely short, maybe 5300 from the back tees. Ridiculously slow pace of play as there seems to be primarily older folks playing here. I was stuck behind a foursome of women in their 70's and the front 8 holes took 2 1/2 hours. We skipped over 9 to get in front of the group as they never once let us play through. Two of the guys playing with us left when we got to 10 because they couldn't take the pace of play.

Fast Greens, Blind Shots, Demands Accuracy

This course is very well groomed, with multiple tee boxes (blacks, blues, whites, reds and yellows). I am a single-digit handicap (roughly a 7) and decided to try my hands at the blacks my first time playing there as it is only 6,000 yards from the tips... I learned my lesson well, lol. Very difficult day as my driver refused to listen to me. This course demands accurate shots, and you really do not need the driver very often. Blind shots are abundant, and if you like a good hike, this course is a lot more than the 6,000 it says. The greens are fast if you are above the hole, but keeping shots below give great scoring opportunities as the putts run true. Overall a very good course, lots of fun, but lots of challenges as well.

Many interesting large greens in top condition. Fairways have some wet areas from very long winter.

Some narrow fairways and many open up. Going back soon.
