Eh....
I know it is winter golf, but the greens at the course are way below par. Mostly heavy grass of the wrong type, but surprisingly fast near the holes that haven't been changed in too long.
I've always felt that the hold order could be better, with only the last 5 holes having all of the significant water on them. Clearly this is by design as you drive past a lot of holes along the route to circle back later.
Could be much better. But love the staff and the rest of the facilities.
Not bad
I don’t know why this course is rated so low. It has kept me away for a while. I only went because it was all that was open on Jan 1st. I did not care for the layout but that could be learned. Looking forward to Flinggolfing their again.
This is a joke
Until this place is under new management or I hit the lottery I will not be returning.
Terrible
Go play this course so you can see how bad it is lol, I’ve never been so disappointed in my life.
Candy Corn
Ever see that Lewis Black sketch about candy corn? That’s what this course is. Every time I play here, I tell myself I’ll never come back…then, it appears in front of me, and I tell myself “Hmmm, Lakeville Country Club, maybe it’s not that bad”. Another disappointment. Greens were slower than my grandmother walking upstairs, uncut and unkempt. Fairways, what fairways? There’s so many leaves on the course, I couldn’t see the fairway let alone hit it. The tee boxes were in shambles. This course has seen more and more traffic, and I don’t know why. People, do yourself a favor and drive 10 more minutes to Acushnet or 20 to Allendale. This is not worth the price hey charge, they should be paying YOU to play here
Stay Away
Worst course I’ve ever played. No starter or groundskeeper (or staff in general) visible outside the club house. Course was in terrible shape - the greens especially. Carts were old and the gps device didn’t work, resulting in out carts repeatedly having issues. Course is very poorly laid out to the degree that multiple groups got lost, as did we. It took about 5 hrs for our foursome to play 18 behind a group of 2 who were playing behind a group of one (again, no starter to correct that at the first tee).
I'll never come back
I truly think even $35 for this place with a cart is still a rip off. Simply because of the conditions. I paid double that and left completely annoyed and dissatisfied
Seems like greens keeper took the summer off
Crab grass on tee boxes, greens were ridiculously sandy and putting was like playing plinko. Would not recommend.
Lakeville CC
Overall course was very pretty. My only feedback would be the offensive flag and sign abutting the course around 12th/13th hole??Also offensive head gear on patrons in clubhouse restaurant. Would keep me from returning or recommending.
Poor Communication
Haven’t been to Lakeville in many years so I though I would give it a shot.
Got to the course and only 9 holes were open and the other greens looked awful with sand from aeration.
I didn’t play as there would’ve been no way to putt on the beyond terrible greens.
I would like a refund of the fee I paid since none of this was communicated to and I drove 40 minutes to get there.
Course
Horrible. No grass oh fairways or tee box. Weeds and crab grass growing on greens. Wasn’t worth $5.00 let alone $53.00
Don’t show course on this app
I feel completely hosed. Grab grass on greens. Giant patches of dirt and burnt grass on green. Cart electronics didn’t work. They moved the tee boxes on to fairway bc they reseeded tee boxes so the holes were 20-70yds shorter. They should have discounted the price.
Ripped the money
No maintenance at all 0%...
So embarrassing for my teacher because I bring him who visited from other country...
So bad...and bad.....
Awful, overpriced, and not worth it.
I’ve been playing this course a couple times a year (when tee times at other courses are fully booked) for maybe 10 years. The course condition has deteriorated greatly as time has passed. The tee boxes are horrific and the greens not much better. It’s sad bc it’s a decent layout. Unfortunately over the years they decided to spend more on the clubhouse and maintenance facility/cart storage than on the course.
Save your money and play a cheaper 9hole course as your last resort.
Great layout VERY POOR CONDITIONS!!!
I know it’s been a tough summer with the drought so I’m not sure how much that has to do with the conditions. The greens had a lot of crabgrass on them and they were very hairy. Just about every Teebox was a temporary Teebox that was barely even cut. I am glad I bought the hot deal because if I had to pay full I would have been pretty mad!!
I can't believe I paid money for that
I've always liked the layout at Lakeville CC, and the conditions in recent years have deteriorated, I knew that going in. But I figured I could get out early and buzz through a quick round. I ended up being so mad at myself for paying money for this. I know we're in a drought, but these conditions were not because of the drought. Tee boxes were terrible. Fairways were non-existent. Greens were dead in huge sections. Some had some sort of longer growth on them. Just terrible. Too bad, since I've always liked the layout. I've attached a couple pictures. I won't be back. Too bad, it's so convenient for me to get there.
