Country Club of Halifax

Good choice for almost any golfer. White tees provide plenty of distance and challenge for the average player. Good course to walk. Two putting is difficult on many greens. Through all kinds of difficulties over the years, the course has been maintained at a good level. I usually expect above average conditions here.

This course is always fun to play, the fairways and greens are always fast roll very true. Staff is always friendly and accommodating. I play here often and will continue to come here over other courses in the area.

I’ve been playing this track for years. It was a hidden gem that allowed public play. I played it for the first time this year and they had the balls to charge 95 dollars. This track is destroyed and what a goat farm this turned into.

Greens were horrible, traps with no sand, fairways were horrible. This is another course that is now doomed. Don’t waste your money as they charged 95 dollars. Clearly having a cash flow problem and all members have jumped ship. Course is run by teenagers and they have no maintenance at all. My heart is broken as this was one of my favorites because of layout and shape. There was 1000 people on the course and stray golf balls everywhere so it’s now a hack n shack. No food served, no booze in the drinks. Pathetic and the place should just go under and be turned into housing projects or whatever it is has coming to it. I’ll never step foot on that place ever again until it’s under new management and maintenance

this course has awesome fairways, the greens were very well maintained as well, smooth as glass.

The course was amazing overall, I will highly come back and recommend anyone who wants to play here.

To charge $30.00/pp or $60/total as a cart fee is extremely high and absurd! And for that price, it would actually be nice if they had a ranger to speed up the pace of play…took 5 hours to play 18 holes starting at 1p on a Sunday.

The course was aerated recently, greens were quick but not in great shape.

berated greens, some rough spots and too many dogleg lefts for me. no ice for beer at the proshop and a funeral going on. won't play here ever again, especially at $95.

Fairways were in great shape. Tee boxes a bit beat up. The greens were aerated so no comment. $60 for round on golf now

This is always a nice course to play. however, recently with lack of rain, there are some dead spots here and there and a couple of the greens need some love. they have a very nice outdoor bar area overlooking the 18th hole. It’s not open every day so it’s hit or miss which is why I only gave three stars for off course amenities.

Perfect day for golf after all the heat we’ve had lately. Course is in great shape despite some greens looking not so good. Quick greens with a true line. The course was busier than usual but not too bad of a pace. Always enjoy playing here!

Nice layout. Sand traps are poor condition.
