The New England Country Club

The course was in OK shape overall, although some of the tee boxes and fairways were shoddy. The greens were in good/excellent shape.

Front Nine played fair with ample opportunity to get good scores. The back nine was awful. Too many blind shots over marshes with reeds so high, you couldn't tell if you had cleared the hazzard,, or not..I won't be returning anytime soon.

Played at 7am on Sunday morning. The course was in good shape, greens were fantastic and quick. The fairways and tee boxes were mostly pretty good with a few patchy spots. Pace of play was good, overall very good experience. Played here a few years ago and it was better now than before.

Just played 9 holes with friend and our (grown) sons. Range of abilities and we were able to keep pace and play @ decent 2:20 pace.

Course in good condition and everything went smoothly.

About 10 years ago, New England Country Club was getting awfully close to becoming a goat farm. The course management deserves huge credit for the improvements they have made, and I sense more are on the way. The greens were impeccable, fairways great. Tee boxes and cart paths still could use some attention. But Irwin designed a good track, and so all the work going into it is well worth it. Well done!

It's ok to start a round on the old #2 hole, par 4 near the parking lot but it's a travesty to make golfers play the old #1 par 5 as the new #9...what are the folks in charge thinking?? So you drive or walk 510 yds away from hole #10 to play the par 5 as the new 9th hole then double back to play the same back nine as previous. Ridiculous. Adds ten - fifteen minutes to a round of golf. If they were committed to changing the routing they should have left the old #1, par 5 as the new 18th hole. This would have made the front a par 35 and the back par 36, keeping the course a par 71. It's a shame...not user friendly!

I play this one a lot and it’s a unique design with a few holes that play downhill that allow for some fun scoring holes.
