Dangerous areas should be marked/ posted. Especially for a public course!!
Good day
I always liked Green Harbor. it offers a very good day with wide fairways so everyone can hit away and not spend the day in wet rough looking for balls.
It’s a place you know you can walk with flat terrain and minimal difficulty.
It’s a good value and most of all a place to play enjoyable round.
Course is conducive to play
For a first timer, this course layout is very friendly, with wide open fairways and not too many hazards to cause you trouble. The fairways are well maintained and you will have no problem finding your ball even if it’s in the rough. The greens are in good shape but don’t underestimate their difficulties. Kudos to the management for doing a great job in maintaining a high quality course. If you don’t mind walking 18 holes, this is the course for you!
Disappointing Conditions
Considering youre not allowed to use carts. This course was in awful shape. Pace of play was brutal as well. The guy in the clubhouse is a beauty but wow the course is not worth it
Good place
Walking is a treat, and this course is set up for it. Fairways are OK. We roll-em when the lie isn't good. Greens are variable, but pretty good for the most part.
Drinking Water around the course . A couple of restrooms ( I'm 73, nuff said) Great restaurant. Service, food, practice range, all thumbs up!
Very nice 18-hole run
I would say that is a forgiving course in good conditions eventhough some greens are too slow. Anyway we had a delightful 18-hole-flat run in a sunny day also thanks to the refreshing shadow of the trees spread along all over the course.
All around terrible
Right off the bat the starter (Ed I think) said non-golfers were not allowed, even tho there were some already on the course and their website didn't specify. He let my wife walk with me since we were visiting and didn't know - but told us to make sure we kept up pace...that was laughable. He stuck us in the middle of a ladies league. Close to 3 hour front 9. Greens were bumpy and some had bare dirt! I think the positive reviews must be from relatives of the owner. The restaurant looked nice but I couldn't bare to give this course more money after being treated so rudely. We finally had enough and walked off after 16. Yes it's cheap, so if you're a hacker you probably won't care. If you're a mid-handicap you can play Widows for $7 more on Golfnow.
