Course layout and conditions
Marked this course as first time played because although I used to play here a lot in my teens, now im in my 60’s . It was the first time I’ve played it since they resigned it. Couldn’t believe the great condition it was in. Fairways and ruffs were neatly groomed. They have done a great job with the new layout. Very large greens very well maintained. Very fast but still soft enough to hold your shots. Very challenging for golfers of all abilities. Can’t wait to play it again. Would highly recommend this course to anyone. Can’t believe this is the same course we played as teens because no one wanted to play there. They are now extremely busy but the employees seem generally happy to welcome you. Seems they like seeing that it’s now a place to enjoy playing.

Great value for a course that was in mostly great shape( only a temporary tee box as the only negative) might be the best value around. The bar and restaurant were great as well, super friendly staff.
Good short public course. Very friendly staff!!!
Good course but some greens are suffering from fungus. Interesting layout with more par 3s than normal. FYI No driving range.

ALWAYS a GREAT time golfing at MV!!!!! From the pro shop, the course conditions, and the Sand Trap grill. EVERYTHING was AWESOME!!!!! Looking forward to going back soon!!
Always great to play a Donald Ross
Was a crazy weather day. Very hot and humid at arrival, but a major thunderstorm came in just north, and brought intense winds. At least that cooled things down for an hour or so.
The course had an interesting layout, with some crazy greens. You really have to hit to the correct area. Playing the course more than once would be helpful for scoring.
Conditions were very good. The course gets lots of public play, so there are some divots and ball marks.
Restaurant looked popular, but we did not have time.
Would happily play again.
Merrimack Golf
I played there yesterday and enjoyed playing it. The course is in very good condition with the exception of one green that looks to have water damage. The greens were true with a lot of suttle breaks. There are a lot of elevation changes which make shots into the green challenging. I look forward to playing there again.
