Widow's Walk Golf Course

This was my first time playing the course and its very challenging as the course plays very short but also very tight. There is a lot of undergrowth so be prepared to lose balls even if it trickles in. That said this isnt my preferred style of course. The disappointing part is the course hasnt been watered in quite sometime and is completely burned. We heard there was a issue with the sprinkler system after we started play. Nothing was mentioned when booked and no discount was provided. The staff was great and they have a nice outdoor bar and seating area for after the round. I hope the next golfer finds it in better shape.

Nice course very tough driving and if you hit the fairways you run off and loose your ball because there is no grass

Except for the tees and greens everything is brown. Almost 100* this day and not even a jug of hose water.

This course is in much better shape than the last time I played it. Everything was green and manicured. The greens are in good condition and roll well. It is a difficult layout.

I thought I was getting a great value at a nice course...which I did, but I made up for it in lost golf balls...If you want to have fun playing golf....I wouldn't play here...if you want to challenge yourself...be my guest.

About 30-60 min drive south of Boston, Widow’s is a fun, but very difficult course with a 141 slope rating. Not knowing that, I lost a few balls that I was not was not expecting. Very tight fairways and unusual layout with five par 3’s and five par 5’s. Despite the cold and rainy weather, the course was in good shape. What I did not like were the slow greens. The speed could not have been faster than 7 or 8. I will return to play again.

Nice course with friendly staff, early season course in good condition. Tough track tight fairways.

Aesthetically terrific design. All holes unique to each other and carved into the tree lined. Some narrow fairways and open driving areas that are a pleasure to view from the tee boxes. 4 or 5 different tee lengths for all to enjoy. Greens are fast and smooth and are expertly designed to enjoy reading your line and speed without being gimmicky or ridiculous to putt from the "wrong:" side of the hole. Will play again when leaves are on the trees. New clubhouse and nice improvements condition. Was informed by a local player that the course had not been maintained for many years but have new folks involved into the recent improvements that make it a must play.

First time playing this course. Challenging for a high handicapper but enjoyable none the less.

Friendly staff, good pace, and good condition.

I will be playing there again. Overall, a good value.

Had a great day at Widows Walk today. Weather was sunny and 60 so couldn't use that as excuse. Unfortunately we had to walk 18 instead of play with cart because course shut it down for the day after two previous days of rain. Not fun for two guys with double hip replacements. Otherwise, course was in good shape considering weather over the weekend.
