Unicorn Golf Course

Took my girlfriend out for her first 9 holes, booked a 1030 slot on a Monday figured it would be a relaxing time to play a round at, I was wrong. First hole not even to the green and ppl yelled are you gonna take all day, we did our best to keep a pace up dident complete holes, 2 put max, on the 6th hole after our drives, bob, an employee, drove up to us and was extremely rude, telling us that it’s a 15 min max per hole( mind you we were doing that pace already) then proceeded to tell my girlfriend that she was using the wrong club while she was lined up, a 3wood on a par 5 , don’t see a problem with that, left right after that interaction, spoke with the GM who was nice and offered us another round on the house, but all in all don’t go here if your trying to play a nice relaxing game of golf, I guess they think a causal Monday at 1030am is tournament time, might never return.

Unicorn stayed open all winter and the course still looks great. Dennis and his staff are very professional and the course is a very good value. 6 miles from Boston. Can't be beat.

Good people, had a 5 tee time and called ahead to play at 4, no problem. Not a par 3 9 hole so bring the big stick and hit em straight boys !

Got paired up as a single with 3 guys that were walking. I was told that I would have to pay for one of the strangers to ride if I wanted a cart. So I paid for 2 and the strangers walked. In February. Disgusting

Plays better in the dead of winter than many public courses do in the middle of summer. Big thanks to the staff for keeping course playable.

At first glance Unicorn Golf Course can be just as dubious as it’s skeptical name suggests. If you are looking for a 19th hole and a spacious locker room this ain’t your place.

So why do I love Unicorn?

It’s the accessibility (close to Boston and 93), the pace (under 2 hours for 9), and the golf course!! Not overly difficult but certainly no slouch. 122 slope from the blue tees. Hilly terrain tucked in the woods, big waved sand traps guarding small greens that tend to run with the weather. Open all year, the best winter golf in the area. Friendly staff and good little putting green.

Went out on January 30 and except for one wet area, the course was in great shape. Good layout, inexpensive and great staff. Go to Unicorn for a good time of golf

Yeah, I like it here. No frills, nobody with an attitude; staff is friendly. Just a good place to play. Be careful of errant shots, though, several fairways border others and shots are sprayed all over the place.

Good greens , good fairways , good leaf blowing,, some holes need to be approached carefully,, play the shot needed!!! I went back here because of conditions.
