A typical green on the back nine (Sep 2022) Photo submitted by u314160008154 on 10/01/2022
Yikes
Just Bad. Paid for cart but then was not allowed to use it. Also paid for 18 and was only let to play 9 with no refund for the back nine
Fast paced but poor maintenance
Course is maintained with bare minimum effort. Aside from putting in dirt and bumpy greens, it’s a fun course for a non- serious day of golf. Pace was great, staff was great, price was great. Beware though, course is in horrifically had shape.
Good Challenging Tee to Green Practice
Good Tee to Green
Greens are rough, need some maintenance
Needs water and maintenance
Ok municipal at a great price
No clubhouse food or drink
This course is the week sister to the other excellent mdc courses
Somewhat sad to see
Leo
Course in poor shape especially the greens, basically unplayable……price and layout make up for some of those shortcomings
Sad
First time wife and I played here and found the lay out great but the greens are very poor. We were matched with 2 gentlemen who were familiar with the course and made the round fabulous. One was Peter and we are Paul and Mary and we had a Russel.
We'd go back but not sure the greens will come back this season and as the summer wears on they might get worse.
My wife and I play from the forward tees and play best ball so we usually have a decent team score.
The worst greens you’ve ever played on
I know this course is managed by the state or whatever but Jesus tapdancing Christ…the greens were the worst I’ve ever seen. On 3 different holes the pin was in the fairway. The rest of the course isn’t even that bad, and for $45 I guess it’s ok, but the greens are in such bad shape you are guaranteed to 3-putt every time. If they invested just a *little* more time/effort/money, this place would be a hidden gem. But they won’t, so it isn’t, and instead a nicely-manicured green, you get a burnt, bumpy “brown”.
A good value for the money.
If you are looking for country club conditions then this course might not be for you. I have been playing here for many years , and It is a work in progress. Some holes are better than others. That being said , I like the layout of the course. It is fun to play and practice on. The price is very fair. The staff is friendly and accommodating. And they have a driving range to warm up on.
Nice staff, course could use some work
Nice layout. Could be a great course if it was better maintained. Staff was very friendly. Not a horrible deal for what you pay.
Greens closed
There are 2 greens that are completely closed, and the holes are in the fringe. This is new and very disappointing. I hope one day they fix this course.
Fix the tee boxes and greens
I am ok with terrible fairways because I play winter rules and move to the nearest grass. I don't have that option with the tee boxes and greens; both have "sand traps" inside them.
The new system of booking and paying for tee times is very inconvenient. For this I am now charged a $20 convenience fee.
Better than last year
A work in progress, most greens are simply horrible but if you take improved lies on the “fairways” its playable. Funny part is this course looks great from the road! It offers golf at very reasonable rates and is a challenging layout with plenty of slopes and elevation change. Cart paths are narrow in spots and confusing if unfamiliar, and its a long walking course.
