Most of the sand traps were dirt. All of the holes that had been moved were elevated surfaces or divots that were poorly replaced. The greens had a ton of dead patches. There were also divots due to sprinkler heads in the greens. There are plenty of nicer courses for the same value around
Usually better conditions
Was very wet, a solid course for most skill levels, very straight besides maybe 3-4 holes, decent price with cart, range very close so you can warm up, would go back because of how local it is.
Cart was Included through Golf Now but still charged me at the course
Purchased a Hot Deal through Golf Now with “Cart Included” listed in the reservation but they refused to honor it and still charged me the full $72 cart fees. They are the only course to not honor “Carts Included” and i will not be returning since they refuse to honor their own listings.
Solid Municipal Course
Fairly short course with a lot of score-able holes. Conditions are what you expect from a fairly cheap municipal course. Greens are slow but are cut pretty well making it easy to read. Fairways and tee boxes are hit or miss. I enjoy playing here because of the price. The value is pretty good for what you get. Flat walkable course. I would rather play here than at their sister course Newton Commonwealth because of the much more manageable layout.
Wet
It’s a swamp. It always seems to be superrr wet here. Fairway puddles, rough is so spongy and wet. If you do play here make sure it hasn’t rained in at least a week and then it’s not terrible. Typically always Cart path only for carts so you might as well walk.
Layout is good, shorter course not many holes require driver. Greens were actually in great shape. Another weird/annoying this about this course is that they have their sprinkler heads in the center of all the greens. Made some putts impossible.
EASY WALKER COURSE...just HAVE TO STAY within your swing
First time through, and was an easy walking course, with a good breeze helped. There are enough trees along the fairways to catch some needed shade...
When you hit that first ball into the rough, it might be hard to find since the number of little creeks and high growth make it a tad hard to find...might ask course to work at knocking high grass down with a weed whacker...
Fairways, when you hit em, give great rolls...miss em and you will be busy...
Greens are quick, and would expect it since little recent rains, but do be aware, you will find times when a preferred lie is going to be needed...seems to be a function of cutting grass too close to the ground and/or not watching the rain forecasts...have to give grass a chance...
All four of us would play again...and nice to see the practice green and driving range open again...
Solid course
Great course to get your confidence. Not super hard, great for people learning or wanting to work on a part of your game. A little wet, but overall not too bad. Hazards could use some work.
Great for intermediates golfers
To long for beginners and to scraggly for advanced golfer
Not worth it. Rough beat up fairways and rude staff.
Everyone except the guy doing the check in was incredibly rude to me. I asked about raincheck situation based on the weather report I was told I “watched the wrong weather channel”. Torrential downpour started after hole 9 and we were told we had to wait it out to be considered for a raincheck despite multiple sightings of lightning.
Not worth it at all in my opinion. Rough course, worse staff.
Everything was great.
Teed off on time and the pace was steady.
Typical Muni
You get what you pay for. Course is nothing to write home about but it’s a cheap round of golf so you can’t really complain
Course below average at best
The course is one big swamp on the front nine. Front 9 is horrible just a bunch of bugs and hidden swamps.
The back 9 is in much better shape but the layout is borderline awful. Super short.
Muddy but fun
Very muddy course with a lot of tough lies simply because of the lack of grass or muddy conditions, but otherwise it’s not too difficult and is fun for the price!
