Woodlawn Golf Club
About
Woodlawn Golf Club in Adrian is a diverse course where you'll get a little bit of everything, from rolling hills to water and sand. Opened in 1956, the 18-hole course has a traditional layout that is shorter than most modern courses. Despite the relatively short length, there are plenty of challenges in store on this golf course. The greens are severely sloped and they play lightning fast. More often than not, you'll find that they're flanked by strategically placed bunkers as well. There are also water hazards that come into play on several holes. The golf course appeals to a wide range of skill levels since it's not overly punishing for high handicappers and there are risk-reward opportunities for more advanced players. Woodlawn Golf Club is one of the area's most affordable and there's also a college and high school discount.

Woodlawn
Course layout good, field conditions are also good, and the course was fairly moderate.
The first half round was a little bit delayed due to old lady group.
Hidden Gem
Really fun layout for the area! Better course for the money compared to a lot around Toledo. Course was in good shape in spite of getting a ton of rain lately. Greens have a lot of undulation and could have been cut shorter but would have been extremely hard for the average golfer so i understand why they would keep them on the slow side. Tee boxes needed some TLC.
Course in Good Condition
Fast greens. Turf looks good. Always have to be aware of golfers on other holes since tee boxes are in close proximity to previous holes greens. Golf carts are not updated but for the price this is an excellent course to play.
Overall enjoyable course
One of my regular courses. They have made pretty big improvements maintenance wise since last fall, and the course is in much better shape. The bunkers are still in need of attention but that’s normal around here. The greens have increased in speed, and plenty of slope for a challenge. Relatively short par 4s but also a 550 yard par 5. It’s a fun and easy to walk course. You will pay the penalty for your errant shots, lots of trees in the way if you are off, they don’t call it Woodlawn for nothing!
Golf Now Problem
The course had an outing. So we were unable to play a full round. I drove an hour to do so. Disappointed
pro shop staff totally incompetent course poor shape
made tee time for 830 MONDAY NO MENTION OF LEAGUE PLAY . Checked in and paid , again no mention of league play. finished front 9 and drove to 10 tee to find 3 foursomes of ladies playing back 9. when confronting pro shop they only suggested going around group and avoid playing 10th hole . NO apology offered . greens bumpy golf carts falling apart. Entire experience a joke .
You get what you pay for... Kinda...
It's not HORRIBLE... but it's close.
First time playing here, only went because the hot deal was $18 for 18 with a cart... So I booked it.
The course is SUPER short with multiple driveable Par 4's.
The fairways and rough are absurdly overgrown, lost a ball in the middle of the fairway a couple times due to length of grass. (eventually found each one but they're THAT overgrown) not to mention the CRAAAZY dandelion infestation that also contributed to making it hard to find even well placed shots.
Greens are cut way too short, and hard as a rock... To the point that a VERY high approaching wedge shot bounced 5+ feet when it came down on the green! Yet, ironically, one of the greens was so heavily over watered that it was SOAKING wet, the greenside bunker looked like a river and the cup was FULL of standing water.
If they get their grounds crew whiped into shape, this course has serious potential to been a decent/affordable little loop to help stay on your game between outings/leagues etc..
Pay for what you get.
You pay for what you get with this course. Very straight layout with some rolling hills (one hole has 2 or three blind shots). Course was not maintained very well. Lots of tall grass (balls would get buried just a few feet off the fairway) and there were dandelions everywhere. Very short holes (multiple par 4s less than 270). Got stuck behind a group of 6 which was a bit annoying, but pace or play was fine overall. Would be a place to golf and crush a lot of beers with buddies. For the price, it’s acceptable, but wouldn’t pay full price or go here for a nice round.

Course layout is somewhat interesting to come back again later.
