Woodlawn Golf Club

About
Woodlawn Golf Club in Adrian is a diverse course where you'll get a little bit of everything, from rolling hills to water and sand. Opened in 1956, the 18-hole course has a traditional layout that is shorter than most modern courses. Despite the relatively short length, there are plenty of challenges in store on this golf course. The greens are severely sloped and they play lightning fast. More often than not, you'll find that they're flanked by strategically placed bunkers as well. There are also water hazards that come into play on several holes. The golf course appeals to a wide range of skill levels since it's not overly punishing for high handicappers and there are risk-reward opportunities for more advanced players. Woodlawn Golf Club is one of the area's most affordable and there's also a college and high school discount.

Amazing greens
This was one of the nicest courses I have been to within a 45 mile radius of Toledo...I will definitely be going back there. The greens are astonishing
Improvements seen over last year
New carts! Smooth riding, clubs don’t fall off, upolstery not torn
Fairways and greens in good shape, play moved right along
October and Golfing
Course was in great shape for October, no complaints and will definitely play again
Challenging course, very undulating fairways, very dry and hard to put a tee in the ground
Carts are horrible, my husband tried 8 carts before he found one with a parking break, the last time the one we had did not have a break. My clubs fell off 3 times during the round as they would not lock solidly, the pencil would not stay in the clip, several times had trouble getting it going to go to the next hole, had to pump and pump it!
Nice golf course
I had a great time at this golf course. The staff was very friendly. The greens were well manicured.
Lots of blind shots and holes close together but nice course
I was concerned for other golfers lives on this course the way I have played lately! The holes are packed pretty tight together. This course is good for the average golfer. A low handicap would probably eat it up. I usually shoot anywhere from mid 80s to mid 90s but shot over 100 on this course. It is short but lots of blind shots and it just didn't fit my game. I hit one drive that was great off the tee but I suspect went in a pond. The sign showed what appeared to be traps on the right and left side of fairway but they were ponds. Would have been nice to know how far it was to those obstacles, but I am not Tiger Woods and don't have my own caddy! You also won't get many flat putts on the greens.
Regardless, if you want a reasonably priced round on an interesting layout, this is your place. Nice clubhouse and friendly staff. I would play here again!
you gotta hit it where you are supposed to here
greens are small and tough
not one flat or straight putt on the course
Nice hometown course
Great value and the staff is nice. Course is in good shape. Great for beginners like me.
Nice course
It was a noce course lots of trees and hills but tee box and greens were very close together
Much improved course
Woodlawn had fallen into disrepair over the years, but it has improved enough to be called a little gem near Adrian. I really like this course now! I think it's condition is as good or probably better than other area courses. The only glaring negative is the condition of the golf carts; which I expect the new owners will address in the near future. I will be back.
Traveling the U.S.A.
This has been around for many years, actually started as a 9 - hole.
We knew the Horsemans (sp?) for many years too. Ron and Marilyn are very nice people and they built a wonderful, but not fancy, Michigan Golf Course.
That being said though, this is a great shorter course but very friendly to the "average" golfer.
Great Mom's day out!
Love the course! Challenging yet playable. Update golf carts would be nice.
fall course decent shape! Carts ????
Carts are horrible??? But course decent shape for Fall!
Good value
Special rates at this course makes it one of my top "go to's. They always keep things in good shape, and have a good mix of birdie holes. If you're hitting it good, you'll be rewarded, if you're hitting bad, look out for the blow up holes. They don't have a beverage cart riding around, so get your fill before the round or on the turn.
Woodland golf course
It was a good course. Nice wide fairways. Challenging greens for the most part. The only issue was the staff was not as helpful as they have been at other courses I have played.
