Nice course. Nice length.
Enjoy playing this course because of the length and turns
really reasonable and course was well kept
course was in good condition for April! Sand was soft and carts were clean
Very nice, especially for April!
The day we played it was snowing during the 1st hole and very cold & windy but the course looked very nice and green & it was mowed very nice. It almost looked like summer the course was in so nice of shape. I would say this course is worth playing & I enjoy playing here once in a while especially if we get a good deal. :)
Great fall golf
Great prices for the fall. The course is still in really good shape. They could have done a better job of clearing out the hugs piles of leaves by some of the greens, but other than that, no complaints. Fun course.
Brookwood - Fun Course - Well Maintained - Nice Greens
One of my favorite courses in the Flint area. Mature course that is well maintained. Greens are a little bit hard but you can still get the ball to hold. They also have a nice practice area with a chipping area complete with sand trap. If you've never played give it a play...you will like it!
IMA Brookwood
Best I've seen this course condition in years. Normally, the greens are frustratingly slow, but they were medium to medium fast. Only complaint was off fairway was hard as a rock in places.
Great deal for price
The course was extremely hard and dry, far more than normally. Looks as if they have not been watering as much. Surprising because the temps have been reasonable.
Updated
This course has been redone from moving tee boxes to clearing trees. Great job looks nice !
Very Good Course!
The course was in very good shape. The fairways were well manicured and firm. The greens were in excellent condition. There is a reasonable amount of sand and water here too, challenging but fair. There are A LOT of doglegs here, but still ample opportunities to pull the driver out of the bag. They have two practice putting greens and a drive range to warm up before your round. They also have a grill outside, which I am a big fan of because I prefer my hot dogs this way rather than from rollers. It was so fun I had to go back and play here the next weekend too!
The staff of this course is extremely rude
I have played this course twice. In both instances, I was treated quite rudely by the desk attendant, "Dick." He was quite dismissive of my inquiries, and very unpleasant generally. The course rangers do not ensure an reasonable pace of play. The grounds were under-irrigated and in general need of attention. I would not recommend the course to friend nor foe!
The pace of play may restrict others
I've played Brookwood several times and like the course. The design is user friendly and the staff is courteous. I was placed with a threesome that either didn't have a clue about ready golf, or "while we're young". I walked while the other three rode in carts and it was the longest day of the year! There were several times there was an open hole in front of us! There needs to be a Marshall to control something like this.
Good course nicely laid out
tee boxes was very hard greens were too.. had a great time course was laid out nice well maintained
course in great shape .
Nice course and they had nice carts. Had a great time, wasn't too crowed and played right through. Got done just before it stormed.
Best city ran course in the area,
This city ran course is the best track in the area.
Very Welcoming
Brookwood has become my favorite local course. As a woman, I find I am not always treated well or welcomed at many courses. This used to be the case at Brookwood. However, there appears to have been some staffing changes and I now receive a friendly welcome when I arrive at the course. In addition, the staff seem to be aware that I play very quickly, so I am sometimes ushered onto the back 9 to start, or placed in front of slower starting groups. I very much appreciate this, as it makes it easy to sneak in 9 or even 18 holes when I should be doing something more productive.
The course is well maintained, and is a fair challenge. My only complaint is that sometimes there are drunken jean-clad fivesomes with which to contend.
always a challenging course, but fair and marked well.
course is one of my favorites. Features a good variety of holes, tough yet fair greens, multiple pin placements and good yardage markings. Great practice facilities featuring a grass range and large practice green.
