Sugarbush fall
Played here a couple months ago and thought it was a great course with the only improvement area in the “pace of play”. Today my wife and I played and the course was it GREAT shape for this late in the season! Wife loved the colors on the trees, I liked that the greens rolled true. Didn’t seem too busy, and we played 18 in less than 4 hours. Caught up to a 4 some around the 6th and just played behind them the whole time. Sugarbush had a wedding reception going on today and everything looked beautiful. Clubhouse is newly renovated, new golf carts, re-doing a few tee boxes... these guys are putting money into the place, and I’ll be eager to see how it looks next year too! We’ll be back!
Sugarbush WOW
Great course. Excellent condition.
New clubhouse and simulators are outstanding
A must play.
Sugarbush...How sweet it is
I'm so jealous of my fellow golfers that live near this awesome course. If I didn't live an hour away I would try to play here all the time. The clubhouse is nothing short of incredible. To top it off the beautiful electric carts have automatic parking brakes, super cool.
Very Impressive
I last played this course probably a decade ago and while I enjoyed it then I was blown away by the changes made since. The clubhouse is still undergoing some renovations, but what has been completed is very impressive including a series of golf simulators. The course itself was in fantastic shape in spite of preparing the grounds for fall/winter. It plays long, and you do have to hit your shots, but I wouldn’t consider it unfair for your average weekend hack while probably being rewarding for your scratch golfers as well (admittedly I have no idea what being a scratch golfer is like). The carts are fantastic, the staff was all very attentive and welcoming, and I am really looking forward to playing here again next season (hopefully without a global pandemic still lingering over our heads).
Out of town round
I was in town for a wedding and was recommended by a few people to come try Sugarbush out. I went off by myself around 845 and pace of play that early was great. Never waited on a shot or had anyone behind me. I live in Florida so I enjoyed the character the course had, different holes and doglegs. I really enjoyed the layout of the course. Overall the course was in good shape. The greens rolled great and with a bit of pace to them. Fairways, bunkers, and rough were all in good shape, only flaw I saw were some of the tee boxes were a little beat up but it looks as if they were aerating some of them to help fix that. Everyone in the pro shop was friendly and the food in the clubhouse was very good after the round. I'll make sure to come back for a round if I'm ever back in the area.
Great course
Had lots of rain night prior but despite too much water great time. Challenging play, nice greens, they are almost done with new clubhouse which is stunning Definitely worth the drive!
Great track.
Nice layout and in great shape. Wildlife makes it feel like you’re up north. Definitely play again.
Nice Surprise
New carts, good layout, multiple tee boxes so everyone can play here. New clubhouse being built (nice to see) Very friendly Pro Shop staff. Entire group enjoyed the day. Advise go play here!
Thursday Golf
Course in good condition after recent heavy rain there was one sand trap half full of water but the rest of the course was excellent
Greens in good condition and fast compared to other courses.
Sugarbush
Decent course. Greens and fairways were in great shape. Be careful on some holes as you’ll think you played a great shot off the tee but will be in hazard. Pace of play was brutal. 4-6 times I was waiting on tee with group in front of me AND single behind me. Asked the 2some in front of me to join up and was denied, and asked the single behind me to join up and he denied also. I understand some people are afraid of their shadow right now, but might be better to have a ranger/starter/ pro shop guy hooking people up to help with flow. Staff was great, very friendly and helpful with my questions since it was my 1st time there. This won’t be a ‘regular stop’ for me since I’m coming from Clarkston, but would certainly play again! Thanks Sugarbush!
One of the best places to play
I wouldn’t change a thing, other than the quality of my play. Great shape, beautiful setting, sweet layout.
Some things that you don’t find in many courses- Great variety of tees: There is an option for every skill level.
The layout keeps players secluded from people on other holes. A secluded vibe and It’s difficult to hit your ball onto another hole
You guys have really done a great job of keeping the course in pristine condition and lowering the morning price. This course is a Genesee County gem.
Only complaint is that the ranger needs to get on foursomes to stop lingering around and play ready golf.
Long Hard Course. Beautiful!!
Carts. Cart paths. Fairways and greens all in great shape. Very well maintained.
In Excellent shape
The golf course is beautiful and very well maintained. Prefer the green to be a little bit faster.
Very nice layout and great condition
Played from the silver tees(6500 yds) so a little too long for me- next time out will be silver/green combo! Great condition, layout, friendly staff, greens roll true. They are in the middle of reconstruction though, club house, parking lot, etc... will be tough scoring for bogey golfers so pick your tee box wisely!
Great Fairways and Greens
Another beautiful day at Sugarbush.
The play was a little slow today. The coarse conditions were really good. The fairways and greens were very nice!
