Great Hidden Gem
Played this course for the first time in about 20 years. It was better than I ever remembered it. The course was in fantastic condition. Especially the greens, fairways and traps. The tee boxes honestly were not the best though. A lot of them were uneven and some were kind of bare. However that didn’t really make or break the round.
It’s apparent that they are and have been making many improvements to this course.
To top it off, the clubhouse was completely re-done about 3 years ago. Probably one of the nicest public club houses I have seen. Complete with 3 state of the art golf simulators and lounge area.
The food was also fantastic.
Would definitely recommend this course and would come back.
Another great round
Always a great round out here. Course was in great shape. Greens were aerated but still in good shape, roles true with no bouncing issues. Only issue was pace of play was a bit slow. Had a couple foursomes that let me play through, a single that let me play through, and then one foursome that blocked us all up for the last 6 holes
This course is in excellent condition, the greens rolled perfectly.
Good time at sugarbush
The course was In excellent shape as usual. The pace of place was great.I’ll be back.
Decent Course
This is probably the best course in this Davison area. Bring your big boy stick. However, members think they own it. As well as some of the staff are rude, not all, just some. Range balls are wayyy expensive and I think I got like 18-20 balls for $7. Yea, if you’re just using the range, try Copper Ridge or IMA.
Had a nice time!
If you were to play this for the first time on your own with someone who hasn't, it can be confusing. Lot of turns and blind shots blocked by big trees. But that's what makes this such a fun and challenging course. My only complaints were the greens were all mounds. Every side of the green, besides the front, will roll off if you don't hit it high and plug it.
Decent
Course is in great shape. Range balls are extremely overpriced. Pace is always slow. If you’re not a member, you’ll be treated like a red headed step-child by the golf staff. They do have cart girls on the course. Restaurant staff members are friendly. I guess you have to take the bad with the good. Not my first choice in this area due to the cons. However, not bad enough for me to quit going. Still a challenging course and fun course. Bring your big boy stick and thick skin. As well as your patience.
Total Gem
Best course in the county. Great layout, and course is in great shape. Weekend pace can be a little slow but if you expect to play in 4 hours flat on the weekend anymore then that’s on you. Owners treat you like family. Been a member for a couple years and cannot say enough good things. They need to raise their prices after all of the work that’s been put in over the past few years—easily on par with Atlas Valley and Metamora and substantially better than Lapeer Country Club and is cheaper than the two former same prove as the latter.
Great course
First time playing this course. Was very pleased with this course. Fairways and rough was green and very lush. Greens were quick and rolled very true. I used to live near where this course is located. If I did now, I would play here a lot. I would highly recommend this course who wants to play a great, challenging course.
Love this course !!
Played here on Memorial Day. This is truly a hidden gem. The course conditions were nearly perfect. The fairways were very well manicured throughout.
Fairways were pretty wide and generous on most holes. The challenge are the small greens and rough. You have bring your irons game to score well here.
Too bad this is a little far out but it’s definitely worth the drive. Great friendly staff and faculty. Wi definitely come back
