Hidden Gem

Played last year and it was a little rough around the edges but you can tell they put the time and effort into improving the course. Beautiful fairways and greens.

Lot of long straight holes where a few hard dog legs would make it even better. They trimmed back/down a lot of the tall heather like grasses which makes it seem even longer yardage now.

Nice course

Course and employees are great! For the price though they should be able to afford to spray for mosquitos. Constant swarms of them! The people behind us quit 4 holes early from how bad they were.

I’ve been out here a couple of times. Pace is always good. Course well maintained. Perfect range/ putting before the round. Friendly staff in the pro shop.

Fantastic Value

First review on this site but I feel compelled. I heard from a friend that this course wasn’t great, then he admitted he hadn’t played it in a long time. The guy next to him said it was really nice now.

Well, I was happily surprised. I’d say for the money this was one of the top values I’ve ever played. Washington County in Richfield WI,

And the RTJ trail are the only other two in my top 3.

Course was in great shape. Challenging, yet playable layout. Jerry, the marshal was so helpful in make sure our round was enjoyable. He held up a group who missed their tee time and had to go off the back so they didn’t interfere with league night. But he let us turn in front of them after we played the front in 1:40. We loved that.

Overall great experience an worth the drive from Detroit.

played in just over 4 hours. excellent conditions and layout. you can tell they are working hard to become a premier location. staff was awesome and facility is first class. what a treat!!

Very enjoyable course that's in immaculate shape. Somewhat tough course that will penalize you for errant shots. Greens are undulating and average speed.

Worth the Drive

We were looking for some nice courses to play as a change of place from what we were playing in Macomb county .

Sugar bush did not disappoint.

Greens are perfect. Course was well kept.

Plus the food at the clubhouse after the round was awesome.

Well worth the hour drive from my house to the course.
