Pace of Play
Pace of play was very slow. Spoke to a ranger and he did try to speed things up but there were too many golfers in play to break the jam. No beverage cart on the course, not very pleased considering how hot it was that day
Great course
This course was very beautiful. Me and my friend were out there early and were able to watch the sunrise as we were playing greens and the rest of the course was well maintained and the staff was very friendly.
Brook Wood on the 4th of July
Course was in great shape! Greens were nice...pace of play was just over 4 hours..not bad for a holiday weekend and a full slate of tee times. Nice set up at the turn for beverages and a snack..staff was friendly. Will definitely play again
IMA Brookwood The Peoples Course
A lot of the time I spend on this golf course is as a solo golfer meeting new people! Everyone is always great and looking to help everyone out. I can’t say this for many courses in the area but the pro shop has some enjoyable characters.
Even if your behind the league the pace of play is still something to look forward to.
Never once can I say I had a bad experience at this course. It is a wonderful layout that is quite challenging. I am a single digit handicap and sometimes I still have a hard time around this course.
IMA has one of the best prices around town and you would think with course conditions it’s a 60 dollar round. Yes the greens could be a little softer more reviving but that’s just apart of the challenge. The grounds crew is a hard working bunch always doing new projects to keep up the course.
Shout out IMA for holding golfing standards to a very high level in the Genesse County area.
Don’t Allow Children
The clubhouse manager confronted me and my family on the 9th green and said “we don’t allow them here” referring to my children. We promptly packed up and left without finishing our round. This was my 6 and 3 year olds first round of the season and I was trying to get them out and acclimate them to the golf environment since we love it so much. Last time I visit this golf course.
MSGOLD
Great time playing, except it was a spotty shower of rain.
Very nice course, would play again.
Very nice course. Greens were well maintained. On the day we played, the rough was tall and made finding balls difficult. The staff were very friendly.
