Lakewood on the Green Golf Course

The temperature at 7:30 AM was a balmy 42 degrees. The next tee time that was coming out was at 9. There was a nice rooster tail of water on the first few greens, but it did not seem to slow down the ball. The greens were challenging and so were the holes, especially for us 3 hacks. We had a most enjoyable day starting with pleasant conversation with Don in the club house and free cups of coffee, to a 90 foot chip-putt for a birdie, to numerous golf balls found for a future round. Narrow fairways, all tree lined. Small greens with lots of hills and mounds. Greens were very bumpy and soft. Not even close to a $62 weekend rate. Will not play it again. Target golf

This was our first time playing Lakewood and my wife got her first hole in one on hole 8. It's a beautiful course with lots of elevation change and natural beauty. Put it on your Cadillac area golf list.

Can't go wrong golfng here !! Price is right, course is fun yet challenging and staff is awesome !!!

A seriously devious person couldn't have designed a more challenging course! This was my 2nd visit (golfnow has a deal for $24 for 18 & cart) and it was what I remembered lol. My only and I use this lightly. Pace of play during a weekday was terrible. There was a 4 man scramble that I caught up to on the 10th tee. From there it was slow. Which is fine bc I had time to find all my golf balls lol. I play at a 7 handicap so not terrible but not good either. It really is a fun course imo but the greens had to have been designed by someone that is crazy and he placed the pins in even worse spots lol.

This is a very nice course for the money. There are some holes that are very tight but it is a fun course to play.

Nice layout with tough greens. There's A few very narrow holes, but those are rather short. Overall a nice, fun layout in very good condition.

Get a low price made this such a treat. The course layout is challenging and matches that of many other Up North locations. Greens were true and fast. The front nine winds through rolling hills giving many variations in elevation. The back nine takes you around the lake and offers cool position shot holes, as well as elevation changes. The par threes are different lengths that force you to use different clubs. Lots of deer, herons and geese.
