Course is kept up great!
Unfortunately pace of play was our demise. We had a frost delay and we’re from out of town so we ended up paying for 18 and only playing 9 due to the late start and slow play. If that was not a factor, it was great, friendly staff, lots of elevation which kept things interesting, and a new challenge on every hole. Great course and we will definitely have to play again early in the year before football season starts! :)
Beautiful course!
We had a great day on the course and really enjoy having Don Smith as the Golf Pro!!
Great Course
Love this course; very tough to do anything better than 2-putts! Course was in wonderful shape. Only negative today was "cart path only!" That, coupled with a slow foursome in front made for a long round. Will return.
The best golf in Cadillac
Course was in great shape. Staff is always very friendly. Great practice facility. By far the best course in Cadillac.
Fun & Challenging
Have played this course 7 or 8 times and always enjoyed
it. Play it with a 12 person golf group - it is both fun and challenging. #18 is a very challenging finishing hole - need a great drive and great 2nd shot to hit the green.
Very friendly staff, too. Good value.

Great golf experience
Course is always in fantastic shape, staff is extremely friendly. Gives you the feel of playing a $200 course without having to empty your wallet
Beautiful course but the layout is brutal
This course is beautiful but very demanding. Some holes are downright brutal. We are seniors and played from the Chrome tees. Those tees are 5888 yards, which is reasonable. A lot of the holes are over water and marsh, so you have a lot of Decisions to make. It is tough but beautiful. The one hole I thought was a little much was the par three that measured 211 yards to the pin, almost every yard of it of it over a marsh. Really? A par 3 a senior has to use a driver on? The next time I will play the next set of tees up. So, I think it is a beautiful course and quite challenging. I need to expect to enjoy the beauty and the challenge and not plan to score very well. I guess I can do that.
Difficult but awesome
Staff is extremely friendly. Course was difficult and had to do a lot of walking due to cart path only. Understandably so. Course had a lot of rain.
Would play again.
El Dorado golf course
1st time out in this course. In town for work and wanted a good course to play. Very challenging and it was in great shape.
Great condition
This course is not for the faint of hart. Well maintained large greens that have some roll also you must place shots and several blind shots. Make it hard for the player that doesn’t play on a regular basis
I would play here again
Consistent
In terms of staff, friendliness, pleasant business demeanor, consistent. Course condition and lay out near perfection, consistent. Have played the course for several years, and relocated downstate however have brought up friends and family, from scratch golfers to bogey golfers and just about everything in between always had fun and been treated the way a customer would appreciate being treated. Will always make the trip up north at least twice a year and unfortunately with the unique health circumstances probably that's all we'll be able to do. However it's always on the must playlist, and if you can only make it up for one annual trip do it in the early fall, and for a challenge play the Power,
Always A great experience
The course always provides a great challenge on a beautiful layout that is taken well care of. The course can play as tough as you like with your choice of the five tee boxes. The staff is friendly and has always provided great service.
Lack of Ranger
This was our first time playing this course which we drove 75 miles out of our way to do. The course itself is very nice. The problem we had was the lack of a Ranger on the course. We had a group of 12 guys out to have fun which I'm all for. They were playing a scramble very slowly. The problem was twice we had guys drive back down the hole they had just finished just to have shoots with their buddies. This brought the course to a standstill. What made it worse was the cart gal was there providing the drinks and watching it happen. A couple of holes later we drove up on them again on the tee box and the cart gal was hitting all four guys tee off shots. Being a weekend in August I would expect more from a top notch course. Won't drive 75 miles out of my way again.
Great course-great deal
Played Arcadia Bluffs the day before, preferred to play ELDORADO. We play Eldorado every year because it's a great course with 5 sets of tees, great greens and the staff is phenomenal. Every hole is different nothing seems to be tricked up to make play more difficult and slower. Practice green perfectly mimics greens on course. Great clubhouse ambiance and good brat at reasonable price. The only thing I regret about writing this review is that I don't want the course to be too crowded next year when we return!!
This course is spectacular
My first time playing here (7/31/2019) the weather was perfect and that only accentuated the spectacular views, northern Michigan golf in its glory and the course was pristine. I cant wait to play here again..... and again
Great round
First time to play this course and enjoyed it very much. Played 18 and added another nine for a great price ($15) . The course is in fantastic shape , loved the layout and choice of tee. You need to be a great putter as the greens a huge, fast with lots of break.
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass on your feedback to the teams in charge so they can work to make changes. Thanks for visiting Eldorado. We hope to see you again in the future.
