Missaukee Golf Course
About
Missaukee Golf Club is located between Lake City and McBain, just a few minutes from the beautiful downtown district of Cadillac. At 6,045 yards from the back tees, the course is player friendly enough for golfers of all skill levels. The golf course sprawls across gently rolling hills dotted with a mix of hardwoods that give it a true northern Michigan feel. This forgiving layout lacks the tougher features that are characteristic of some of the area's most popular courses and provides a more approachable round for beginners. There are five ponds and a small creek that come into play throughout. Missaukee Golf Club is a wide open course that is player friendly enough for the weekend hacker, but there are still a few challenges in store with the water hazards and also several strategically placed bunkers.

5th green. Toughest par four on the course even at only 325. You have only about a 25 yard window on your tee shot to get to a spot in the fairway to have a clear shot at the green. Anything left on this hole is instant death and a sure penalty. Photo submitted by u314161955381 on 12/27/2022

8th green. You can get very close to driving the green if you catch a driver right on the button, possibly even on if the wind is with you, but you have to carry more water than you think. Photo submitted by u314161955381 on 12/27/2022

9th green. The toughest par four on the course after hole 5. Again, you have to hit your tee shot far enough to the corner but too far means you'll go through the fairway. Green slopes SEVERELY from back left to front right. Photo submitted by u314161955381 on 12/27/2022

10th hole. A beautiful par three down the hill with a green that plays smaller than it looks. Choosing the right club on this tee shot is vital. Photo submitted by u314161955381 on 12/27/2022

18th Fairway. This might not be a long finishing hole at only 321, but you need to be aware of the two fairway bunkers which are tough to carry with a driver and cut fairly far into the fairway. Photo submitted by u314161955381 on 12/27/2022
Well maintained
The course was in great shape. Just difficult enough for the more advanced players in our group, but not too hard for everyone else. Will definitely be back!
Nice clean
Always nice, always clean . No food/drink cart but that’s ok .
Great place to play
This is the type of course that would be great to play everyday. Plenty of length for most golfers although long hitters might find it short. As a senior I enjoyed the fact that the course had a combination of white and green tees for seniors. It made the course playable and challenging. For the price you can’t go wrong.
Kudos to the maintenance staff
Course was in outstanding condition Fairways like carpet, staff was adding new sand to the bunkers., great value for the money
Course in excellent shape
Front 9 more challenging than back 9. Overall course was in excellent shape, tee boxes, fairways and greens.
Nice place- weird policy
They give you a ribbon to put on your cart to signify you’re playing 18. But the way #9 is laid out, you can’t see a cart until it’s on the green.
So they send people off the back directly in front of you after you’ve finally gotten through the slower players so you can then play through some more.
Terrible policy. In the pro shop, just say “NO, you can’t play only, or start on the back nine”. Ridiculous course management.
