Holly Meadows Golf Course

About
Holly Meadows Golf Club & Banquet Center in Capac is a player-friendly course that wanders across a scenic landscape of mature trees and natural wetlands. The gently rolling terrain provides subtle but tricky elevation changes. Several ponds come into play throughout the golf course, water is by far the most prominent challenge you'll find though there are also a few strategically placed bunkers to contend with along the greensides. At 6,200 yards from the back tees, it's a manageable length for beginners. The layout definitely has a fair amount of holes that will make you think but overall it's forgiving enough for high handicappers. For a quick, fun round for any skill level, it's an excellent option. Besides golf, you can also bowl a few rounds at Holly Meadows Golf Club & Banquet Center.

Reviews
Great golf. Bowling, too.
Wonderful golf experience every time. Hidden gem for sure.
Great Course!
We picked this course randomly. I was very surprised how nice it was. Great conditions, tee boxes were very nice, fairways great condition. Greens were well kept. Overall a really fun course to play and will go back again.
Great owner
We happen to book behind a small outing,,,they were very slow and most golfers had no clue about rules or etiquette. The owner personally came out to set thing right,,Gave us water and offered us a free round. TRUST ME ,,the small details made all the difference.
Always fun
Course was in pretty good shape. Play can be pretty slow at times.
Rough shape
Played the course a few times about 5 years ago and it was in very good condition, today the tee boxes were in very rough shape, grass on fairways not cut and a lot of weeds, greens full of worm mud hills, greens not too bad.
Holly meadows
It is a great course in great shape but beware the mosquitos are horrible about 5pm on. Not sure there’s much they can do about it as we’ve had a tremendous amount of rain this year. I do really like this course layout and it’s in great shape from the rains though.
Pace stinks. Really really badly.
Second time in a row we left after 9 holes and paid to 18. Today we (twosome) finished first 9 after almost exactly 3 hours. No exaggeration. There is a ranger but he doesn’t do anything to keep game going. He drives around and looks for balls and shares them with players taking their 2nd tee shot. Friendly guy but doesn’t do the job.
I could have written the previous review about pace and ranger although our 9 took 30 minutes longer.
We honestly do not like it o complain. Went into pro shop when we left after our first nine today to talk to someone., and opted not to say anything to that sole employee. He might have been in high school, didn’t have back up, and we didn’t want to put him on the spot.
This is twice now we left after 9 due to pace. In a row. 3 hours today was a record. Last time was complain worthy as well (2 hours 45 minutes) but we gave it he benefit of the doubt.
The course is nice. Paying for 18 holes and finishing 9 after 3 hours is not.
Pace of Play
I went out yesterday, had a tee time at 12:56 and tees off early at 12:48p. I guess there was an “outing” maybe straight tee times. We followed a foursome of ladies entire time, I understand from running a golf course that pace of play is important if there’s an outing these ladies were at least 1 hole or hole and half behind pace of play, playing a four man scramble. This is terrible. We played with her 2:30hr for 9 holes and the back 9 wasn’t any better. I can’t believe you have rangers driving around the course and not doing anything about it. It was our first time there and I’m not sure if I want to come back. The rangers were friendly but obviously didn’t know how to drive a course as an ranger. You don’t drive with the golfers as they go hole to hole. You should drive against them to find the gaps on the course. We played well and over 5 hour round for a weekend. That course isn’t a 5 hour course for an outing or open play. On hole 15, we had 5 groups on that hole waiting for the ladies to get the green, a ranger went by and never said anything to the ladies. I’m sorry I’m a scramble it should be 15 mins or less on a hole. Not standing and waiting for 10 mins to tee off. I wanted to talk to someone about the pace after my round and you don’t even have anyone in the pro shop when I came in. I asked the cart kid and he didn’t know what was going on today.
It was a great course due how much rain we got in the last couple days. Greens were in great condition and rolling consistent but pace of play wasn’t good at all.
Worlds greatest dog track
Been playing here for years. It’s cheap and well kept. Not overly difficult and it usually clips along pretty well.
