Cedar Chase Golf Club

We found the course to be fun to play. Holes were varied and often challenging.

Course was in great shape. Greens were fast, but only needed better respect by players. There were many twisted spike marks, especially around the holes. This was a frustration as the greens were in fantastic shape. Tees and fairways were great too. The main criticism is the “sand” in the bunkers. It was more like a brown dirt with many stones and even rocks close to the size of a fist. This is not what I expect of a course of this caliber. When a course has this type of bunkers, I fear using my wedges in them without damaging my clubs. I experienced this slightly on the 9th hole. My club skipped off a rock under my ball and also hit a smaller stone, both damaged the leading edge of my sand wedge. My wedges are not cheap, so I’m frustrated when I play a course that has this poor quality “bunker fill”.

The staff gave us a brief history of the course and shared the layout. It was early in the morning and they made sure the carts were wiped down and dry.

The couse was in excellent condition and we had a great time! We'll defintely come back!

Enjoyed our round at Cedar Chase. Great variety in hole lay-out with large, undulating greens. Green side bunkers could use better sand, but that is our lone complaint.

Excellent course and good pace of play. The hot dog I had at the turn was nasty. Everything else was just great. I would recommend this course to everyone.

Worth the time to play.

I have played this golf course several times it is one of my favorite course in Grand Rapids. The course is challenging and in my opinion could hold a Michigan Juinor Amateur. The course is always in great shape and the staff is exceptional.

Course was in pretty good shape, greens had a lot of ballmarks, not really courses fault there.....staff was sour or non responsive at best or this would have been a 5 star.
