Hawk/Eagle at Pine Knob Golf Club

Pine Knob with its 3 Nine Holes and is a steady choice for a good round of golf. Can be pricey without the Hot Deals & $10 off coupon. I prefer the Eagle and Falcon the original 18 holes the best, but I golfed the Hawk for the first time as my back nine and while #1 and #2 are tight (especially #2), it opens up from there and was a fun round. Staff was friendly especially the Starter. I was paired up with a twosome at 1:00 pm, but they went out early so I was a loner. They gave me a choice. Tee off early and see if the foursomes and threesome will let me play through or join a three some at 1:00 pm. I teed off early and told the threesome if things don't open up I'll join them. The foursome and threesome ahead graciously let me play through, but two couples ahead of was a "no go". Not even at the turn #1 on the Falcon. The men were just teeing off and saw me pull up, looked back and not a word. So I went to the Starter and he looked at the tee sheet and put me on the Hawk. Once the foursome on #1 let me go through, I finished in an hour. Great fun. Will be back and will bring my mates.

Given the lack of rain the course was overall in good condition. Several holes looked like the pin hadn’t been change in awhile because the edges had excess grass around them.

Best course in Oakland county hands down. Always well maintained, could do better to speed up slow 4somes of slower women especially during the day. Hit the ball watch it land put your club in the cart and move on be courteous to the ones behind you that are scratch golfers and hate waiting 15 minutes between each shot.

Loved it, only negative was some greens were pretty beat up but that’s it.

Good for the money. Rangers were out doing their thing. Just a 5 hour round. Nice day though

Pine Knob is a very nice course. Plenty of trees and some wide fairways. There is water on several holes and not too many bunkers. It's usually pretty busy but plenty of tee times are available and the pace is usually good. There is a driving range and a small snack shop with beer, a few grilled goods and some other beverages. A cart person comes around often on the weekends to keep you refreshed. The price is good and I look forward to my next round.

Had not had the chance to play Pine Knob for many years. Time has served the course well and the development around it. Course conditions were in excellent shape with the exception of extremely firm greens and some treacherous Sunday pin placements :0). Overall, look forward to returning next week already - tee time booked!

The course was in great shape and the pace of play was good. The price was good compared to the other local courses. Will be back again soon.

Not in good shape but still worth playing. Greens in good shape but tees and fairway need work.

Truly enjoyed the course. Only played 9, but will be back for the other 18 holes at a later time. Great value as well.

I’ve played here a few times and I love it. Good price for a great course and with 27 holes it’s rare to play the same 18 in two separate visits. All the staff that I’ve met have been friendly and helpful. The field is well maintained and each 9 hole course offers it’s own unique views. Pace of play can vary but that is to be expected with a nice public course like this. I’ve played at 11am and seen no one but the other day around 3, I was behind a group. Overall, I love this place and I’ve made it my home course. Highly recommend everyone in the area give it a try!

Course is in great shape. Have wanted to play this course for a few yrs and I was not let down. Very scenic. Lots of elevation. Tough BIG greens, friendly staff. Will definitely be going back
