High Cedars
Desk personnel wear rude and attempt to require payment on a pre-paid tee time.
High Cedars
Love this course. It was in very good shape. I would say that the greens were somewhat bumpy.
I will play there again.
Revisiting
I used to play this course a long time ago, when a friend was an assistant pro there. The course is gorgeous, but it was a bit soggy and it was a cold day.
whoever was working in the pro shop on Sunday, was curt, short and down right rude. I'm pretty sure because my round was purchased as a hot deal on golf now.
Average muni
Terrible customer service, it's almost like they don't even want people to come and play the course. Fairways always seem shaggy and surprised they still have the tee boxes way up. They do have a good twilight rate and some decent winter deals that make it worth it to play every once in a while.
High Cedars
Course was in excellent condition. Greens were a little bumpy, but the greens have been punched recently. Love the layout and view of Mt. Rainier.
A beautiful course in the valley
The course is basically underwater in the winter, but in the spring time you can’t beat High Cedars for stunning Mountain Views and peaceful holes running along the river.
Great course
Fun course. Some nice change of pace holes that are challenging. And when the mountain is out, no better place to play
Great rate
Easy walking course. Beautiful day with great views of Mt Rainier. Only $20 and greens were in perfect shape not too fast or slow.
Typical spring conditions
Cart paths only. No roll and greens a little slow. Weather was clear and cool. I had a good round for early in the season..
Winter golf
Course was in good shape. It’s winter and I expect conditions to be soggy and damp. Green were in great shape. Enjoyed the round and rain held off til few sprinkles at the end. Very friendly staff!
Fun course in great shape
Design: The course layout is both fun and fair. Good amount of variety in layout with various dog-legs, decent amounts of risk reward, and shot making opportunities.
Conditions: Course was in pretty good shape. Fairways were dry and rolled out nicely, but the grass was still plenty lush. Some wet spots can be found throughout the course, but nothing too crazy. Rough wasn't crazy deep, but it's enough to punish you a bit for not hitting the fairways. Some teeing grounds were a bit shaggy and busted up, but definitely playable. Greens were in fantastic shape; really tight grain and rolled super nicely.
Value: The online rates for 18 on the weekend (peak) is $48. Overall I'd say that's a fair price and certainly competitive with other courses near-by.
Misc: Staff experience was inconsistent. Front desk staff was friendly enough, but restaurant staff was somewhat rude. Pace of play was great in the front, but slowed down significantly on the back. Ran into a few 5-somes throughout the round and even a group of 7 at one point. Did not see a marshal once throughout the round.
Overall, this is a great course that I would not hesitate to play again.
fun day
this is a very nice course and we had a great time. the course is in beautiful shape and we will be sure to come back again. the greens were just a little slow but beautiful. the guy at the desk was very nice and helpful. they really push pace of play and we got through in 4 hours on the nose. Perfect
High Cedars afternoon
A good golf day with my son and best friend.
As a threesome we were paired with a fourth who turned out to be a great guy.
Good day of golf.
Good course, bad staff
I like the course its is near my home, the staff was rude, apparently the guy behind the owners son, complaining about the course not getting a dime off these online tee times.
Perfect for Beginner/Working on Short Irons
This is a great kick-around course to learn the game or brush up on your short-irons. The greens roll smooth, and you can't beat the views. Play during the day and you'll be the only one out there
