The Links at Bowen Lake

Was coming from across the state and wanted a nice place to golf. This place is awesome. Can’t recommend enough!

Course extremely well maintained, new facilities/restaurant with delicious food and friendly staff, all at a perfect price. We really enjoyed this course.

Thankfully the new owners got this course on TeeOff now because even their senior rate is creeping up substantially making it tough for retirees on fixed. Never played Brookside until a few years ago and is kind of like a Whitefish/ Pilgrims , Cedar chase/ north Kent comparison.

I understand labor, fertilizers and cost are up so if I can grab a $29.99 rate on TeeOff like I did on Friday 4/14/23 that is where I want to be, especially with lower grade Brookside at that rate now.

Bowen lake has always been a nice track and have been coming almost 25 years. The older lady who owned it was nice and the new father/son are nice too. As I am getting older and power is waning I like the gold tees. More and more homes all the time.

Course in good shape and was fun to play it again. Fast greens and after flooding a week ago now it’s mid 80s and dry mid April..

still can’t believe how the golf market has boomed hope we can afford it. Pilgrims up to $99 !!

when I called far a tee time,.was told would be paired up,.however if I choose a later tee time we could play alone,.so I chose the later tee time to play alone,.got there and they stilled paired us up and argued the point,. NOT impressed five plus hour round,..abrasive staff,.Will not be back,.and recommend it to NO ONE...so sad,.used to to be a nice place to go,...

Rough is never cut. 9 inches or more. Bunkers never ran through. No drains in them. If you are not 70 yrs. old don't go there. Full of super seniors always. Played twice and won't be back. Was 4 hrs. for 14 holes so we left. No ranger No starter. Just no management at all.

Course was recommended to me by a friend for dollar a hole night, which might sound like a deal but ended up waiting 10 minutes per shot. The greens were bumpy and flat out was not an impressive course.

Excellent grounds, the course is challenging and beautiful. Lots of trees, wild life and water. Very pleasant and easy to enjoy. A must for all MICHIGAN Golfers!

Great variety of holes. Course is usually in great shape. I've been playing this track for a long time and still play it about 10 times a year. Staff is great and senior rates are top notch. Tuesdays it's only a buck a hole for both seniors and young 'ins. Plus hot dogs are a buck, and they're flavorful beef ones, not the tasteless skinny ones offered t many places. Bowen Lakes , a track where golf is fun!

A hidden gem of a course in Gowan, Mi from the back tees. A tight driving course with a slope rating of 133 and over 6800 yards the course will require several long carries on the par 3s. The greens offer severe breaks and speed is of the essence on every putt. Expect intimidating shots with woods, water, traps, and elevation changes not usually seen in Mi.

Prices and availability are very good.

Club house is simple with some food and beverages available. Highly recommended.

This is my favorite course in West Michigan that you can play for under $30. There are always coupons on their website to print for this price. The course is always in great condition and the layout and pin placements are fun and challenging. You get that "up north" feel as most holes are pretty secluded and scenic.

course layout is like being in northern mich. The greens are very challenging.

Definitely needs to be a "must play" course for the budget golfer!!

The links at Bowen Lake continues to offer a great value to those looking for a challenging layout. The course is in great shape, and the only thing I can knock is the general condition and grooming of the bunkers. In fairness a recent rainstorm a couple days prior to our play probably made it difficult to keep up and maintain. The clubhouse is still the original modular building that offers the essentials and a coveted deck to enjoy a beverage. The staff is friendly and efficient.

The course has a variety of challenging holes that will force you to play accurate shots in order to score.. Lots of marsh, trees, sand other hazards surround well kept fairways and greens. Green speeds are usually average,. Definitely worth a trip from anywhere to give it a try to judge for yourself.

The greens were in fantastic condition, and the course is a nice variety of long short tight and open holes. Will definitely be back
