Jewel of Grand Blanc - Onyx Course

Played here a few times. Can't beat the deal you get on this on golf now. My major complaint is they left the grass clippings on the course. They were extremely long as if maybe they trimmed back some of the overgrowth swamp stuff. Its also very bumpy so the dead grass would pile up in the holes. No lie lost like 2-5 balls in the fairway. But for 4!2 on golf now you cant beat it

South side hadn’t been open all year because of rain. Course itself was in decent shape except still have to catch up on rough from the rains. Only problem I had is the cups hadn’t been moved in awhile and grass over the top of hole so lost a 1/4 of the hole when putting

This course was pretty nice .... decades ago but I do not recommend it now. It has really went downhill over the years. I wouldn't play here again and pay more than $10.00.

We usually try to play here at least once a season .. For the price, you cannot beat this course in our area .. definitely worth the drive for us and although the course was a little wet because of rain, it was still in very good condition.

Tees are fair for Ladies as well Would definitely recommend this course for those who have never played there

About 90% of the fairways had mole like bumbs from the tee box to green. It was so bad we couldnt or wouldn’t drive the cart more then 50% speed. The greens were way over watered. They were squishing (water around your foot when you walked) and the holes were half filled with water at 2pm when it was 85+ degrees all day.

Would never golf there again and would not recommend it to anyone.

Had a great round. The fairways are very bumpy and a few times I thought I was going to lose my golf bag. Greens well maintained and the fairways were firm so the ball got some role. Will definitely return.

Very good grass on fairways and greens. Well maintained. Very nice staff in restaurant and inexpensive lunch menu which was very good. Highly recommend.

I grew up in GB and played this course a ton, both north and south sides. This most recent round was absolutely ridiculous. First issue, which I know is not on the course management, was one side was closed and they simply double booked the other course and had everyone tee off over there.... with no ranger at all starting! Then came the course issues. Fairways weren't even cut, it was basically tee box, rough, then a green. Greens were incredibly soft and uncut as well. There was also only 1 set of tees at random yardage, a red and 1 white tee. This place used to be worth it every time I went out, now I won't be going back. What happened to this place, definitely do not recommend.

Played the Onyx, have played it a couple hundred times, This could be a great course if it were not so bumpy, But overall fun course, moderate difficulty.

Have played this course for years and it has its good days and bad. This day the greens desperately needed to be cleaned off, the rangers needed to do a better job of keeping golfers at the correct pace of play. All in all I'll still probably come back but hopefully there won't be a three team backup on almost every hole.

The golf course was a mess. Poor tee boxes hard pan for fairways.
