Poor
Driving range conditions. With greens and power carts. Not much else. Took my grandson and Barbie had nice day Got in some swings.
Not worth it
The course itself was in terrible shape. Tee boxes are rock hard, weeds and dirt everywhere. It was only $30 for 18 holes, but I’ve played courses around that same money that were in much nicer shape. Simply not with the time or money.
Two holes nearly unplayable.
Course conditions are extremely rough on a few holes. Basically swamp land and no ability to retrieve your ball from all but a narrow lane of the fairway. They literally tell you to stay in your cart and just take a drop when you check in. Otherwise, staff is always super great and it’s cheap and pace of play is fine. If they could just get the course maintenance under control, it’d be great.
Scared & Confused
I recently booked a tee time with Lincoln Country Club in Kent County for a 9 am tee time. When I arrived 15 minutes early - there was absolutely no one there. The parking lot was overgrown with weeds and appeared to be from a scary movie. In addition to that, I waited even 15 minutes PAST me tee time (9am) and still no one was there and all of the doors were locked.
I am very upset to have paid for a round of golf that I didn't even get to play. Is this course even open? How are they able to accept payments? Does their phone not work?
Course was in terrible shape
I’ve played this course a few times and I feel like it gets worse every time. The fairway was like concrete and 2 of the holes were completely flooded and unplayable. Signed up for 18 with a car and upon arrival they told us we had to walk the back 9
Bad
Paid for 18+cart. Back 9 walking only because 3 holes unplayable from flooding and they didn’t bother to tell us or offer refunds. Instead they stacked everyone on the back 9 and told everyone to golf it twice.... stacked up for hours.. we ended up leaving early when there were 4 groups stacked on our tee box.
Back nine iin bad shape
The entire course has been neglected. Won't go back
Friendly staff, but course should be closed for repairs for 2020
My price was fair for course condition($16 for 18), however I added a buddy shortly after booking and they charged him $29 in the clubhouse!
2 holes were under construction, so we were told we could play the first two of one of the nines after if we wanted. Seems to me they shouldn’t be advertising 18 on Golfnow and only having 16 to offer.
Tee boxes and fairways mangled and unkept. No signs on course pointing out where the tee box was.
Girl in pro shop was a sweetheart, but the course was “rough” to put it mildly.
Awful
Worst course i ever played by far. Tee boxes are made of concrete broke tees trying to tee the ball up. Cottonwood trees so if u hit tour ball in the rough it was like finding a needle in a haystack. But it was cheap and it was still golf
Meh
Was in grand rapids for the day and I looked on the app for courses near me this one came up first. The course was in rough condition by the looks of it must have been mother nature. I don't hold them accountable for that, the lay out on the back was messed up due to it. I had to play two holes twice to make up for a proper score. The grass looked like it was just cut a few days ago and was left, it looked like they just opened back up after quarantine. I'll more than likely never go out of my way to play here again and if you live locally I think paying 26 dollars for 18 is pricy for the quality of the course you get.
There were heady rains the day before, so the back nine was closed off.
Choose a different course
Very poorly kept course, there are much better options throughout the area.
Outdated
I played this course because I got a hot deal, but I was pretty disappointed. I can tell the course was old, and most hole designs were just straight and to the green. If there was any rain earlier the week you play, then the course will be drenched. I was only able to play the front 9 because the back 9 was underwater. The front 9 was very wet, too. Only walking right now, too. I understand that it was too wet for carts, but by the time I was done my shoes (and pants) were soaked! Luckily, the lady at the front desk was nice and she gave me a rain check (even though it wasn’t raining) to come back and play this summer when it would hopefully be dryer.
Fine for the price
The course was really wet but there has been a lot of rain. The grass was thick and the greens were slow. Staff were friendly. Fine for the price.
