About
Wallinwood Springs Golf Club is bordered by the scenic Grand River on its eastern side. The challenging layout boasts an island green, an island tee, and a peninsula fairway. The golf course has two distinctly different nines, beginning with an open Scottish-links layout before moving onto the back nine, which is enclosed by mature trees. Wind definitely plays a role on the front nine and on the backside of the course there is a 26-acre, man-made lake, where if you're not careful you'll be met with a watery grave on five holes. Extensive mounding is paired with 30 strategically placed sand traps to provide even more challenges. The most difficult hole on the golf course is the par-4 16th, which stretches to more than 400 yards. Golfers will need a long, straight drive from the island tee in order to avoid the water on both sides of the fairway.

Goose Poo Everywhere
The course had geese and poop everywhere. A constant smell came from all of the water surroundings on the back 9. That back 9 would be more enjoyable if they balanced out the difficulty between holes.
Simply superb track!
What a tremendous layout and would’ve given them a five star rating if not for the bunkers. The routing, the condition of the fairways and greens - as well as the difficulty of the back nine - delivered a tremendous front 9 buildup to a treacherous, but fair, back 9. The holes along the river were gorgeous but tough and demanded both precision and length from the blues. I’d play this course again in a heartbeat…
An enjoyable round
Course in pretty good shape. Some greens had some rough spots but they didn't really affect our round and they are working to fix them.

2 strikes... you're out!
Haven't played here in 2 years. Wanted to give this course a second change because it always disappoints. We'll... we get to the first tee and we can already see it's going to be a slow round. We we're so irritated with the slow play that we left after 12 holes. On top of very slow play... most fairways were burned out and the tee boxes were terrible (someone needs to sand done the huge diverts and throw some seed down.
This is "strike three" for this golf course. Will not play here again.

Poor course management
Nice course layout and well kept greens, tees and fairways. Paved cart paths are a joke. They are in very poor condition causing people to run along the side in the fairways. Pro shop staff unfriendly and very unprofessional. Also had league players jump in front of us as we were finishing up on 17 and 18. They said they had to finish their rounds from previous week because of rain. Ended up not even playing last hole because of chaotic, inconsiderate interruption to our round.

Pace of Play
Course as always was in solid condition and full of character making every shot interesting. Course really keeps you thinking all the way through, getting progressively more difficult as you get to the last 6-8 holes. Pace of play however was dreadful, not sure if that’s really on the course or the group we were behind. A 4 some that legitimately could not get the ball out more than 50 yards (and that was usually after 1-2 wife’s) had us waiting 3-5+ minutes on every shot through the front 9. Again, big fan of the architecture here and conditions were solid.
Great Conditions
Some spotting on greens but in general the course was in great shape. Greens were consistent and offered challenge. Very enjoyable round.

Pricing
$54 to play this? Come on, this is not worth that much. Golf courses are going crazy with prices....This is a $30 to $35 course, tops. The carts are not good, bunkers not good, slow greens....used to be a decent course.
