About
Wallinwood Springs Golf Club is bordered by the scenic Grand River on its eastern side. The challenging layout boasts an island green, an island tee, and a peninsula fairway. The golf course has two distinctly different nines, beginning with an open Scottish-links layout before moving onto the back nine, which is enclosed by mature trees. Wind definitely plays a role on the front nine and on the backside of the course there is a 26-acre, man-made lake, where if you're not careful you'll be met with a watery grave on five holes. Extensive mounding is paired with 30 strategically placed sand traps to provide even more challenges. The most difficult hole on the golf course is the par-4 16th, which stretches to more than 400 yards. Golfers will need a long, straight drive from the island tee in order to avoid the water on both sides of the fairway.

First Time Golfing in Michigan
The course was very lovely especially the back 9. Holes 10 & 11 ran along the Grand River (and water to the left too) with spectacular views and one of the hardest holes on the course. It just kept getting better as you played on. Hole 13 par 3 was just amazing and fun over the water. The only let downs of the course were no water stations set up anywhere on the course and lots of goose poop and for that matter Geese on the course. I don’t blame them with a 26 acre lake. I highly recommend playing this course. GVD
Wallinwood Springs Golf
We had a 2:12 tee time and were checked in quickly by friendly staff. We purchased our beverages and they were put into coolers with ice and off we went. Course seems to be in good condition, fairways, tee boxes and greens are nice. The pace of play was very good and the beverage cart lady was around often and friendly. Only drawback is around the ponds you will find some remnants to remind you that the geese have not flown away yet. Good time and good price.
Nice course
Very nice golf course but only got 9 holes in because it started to rain. Will definitely be going back!
Average round of golf
The course itself is decent. Not the best maintained, but not the worst. For $25/9-holes I guess that’s all we can expect. The layout is nice. Challenging, but not over the novice player’s head. The back nine is particularly nice and feels better maintained. The complaints I have is a history of rude staff. They just seemed annoyed by our group despite following proper etiquette and our friendly and respectful personalities. The other issue we had was a league behind us sent a representative up to move us along and encourage us to pick up the pace despite being 10 mins ahead of the pace. If we wanted to play a rush round, we would have gone mini-golfing. True pace of play at any reputable course is slower than we were going as a foursome. It’s really disruptive and distracting having to rush every shot for some entitled beer league.

Challenging
This course is very challenging. The front nine is just a very nice cars.The Back nine feature great views of water, which you will want to have your ball avoid meeting :-) my score was horrible, but I had a lot of fun!
Hacker’s Paradise
Cheap and always has tee times available. That is where the positives end. This course is in awful condition all year long. It has grass growing in the dirt traps (no sand to be found here), weeds growing on the tee boxes, and rock hard greens in terrible shape. Make your tee times online because if you call you will be spoken too as if it is a hassle that you are calling at all.

The one person working seemed annoyed on a bad weather day that we chose to come play anyway
This course is know for holes that lose the battle with high rains and the Grand River and that was the case again on the back nine. It’s a place to play cheap but know what your going to get. Ok layout, no real fairways, bunkers with big rocks everywhere, and a back nine that’s usually in rough shape due to water damage.

Good value for the cost
Good value for the cost. Only paid $20 for 18. Course layout is pretty solid in the back is pretty darn tough. It’s just aesthetically nothing is taken care of. Fairways are mold and greens are actually decent but that’s about it. No sand and bonkers etc.
