Nice round of golf on a sunny warm fall day. Course I good shape, though rough is very hard.. Course has many bumps in rough and cart paths. Watch your back. Pace was ok, but better on back. Have played here before, and they have a habit of letting people off the back nine. For people make the turn, this ca be very annoying. Overall average.
First round at Eastern Hills, Kalamazoo
This was the first time playing Eastern Hills GC, Kalamazoo, MI. The clubhouse was OK but almost full/cluttered of golf clubs, bags, shirts, shoes,... The 8 minute spacing for tee times makes it difficult for the course to stay on time. Tees boxes were pretty beat up and most of the course was dry and hard clay. The greens and sand traps were in very good condition. The course could use a few signs to the next tee as it was not obvious where to go next. At the turn, the staff needs to be faster with a brat ans sandwich (took over 10 minutes) with no one in front of us.
Golf Round
Course was good. Play was a little slow. There were 3 groups with carts playing together. Did not see ranger. Cart paths are a mess. Overall not bad for the money.

Always nice
Had to cut the round short because of rain, however, the course is fun, greens roll nice, and the people are friendly

Slow Play
I have had several friends recommend this course and my wife and I decided to give it a try. Our tee time was for 844 am and playing 18. We were at the tee box at 830 which there was a group of 4 still teeing off. Which was no big deal until the group that was between us showed up 3 min after their tee time.
From that point the round was slow. We waited 7-10 min per shot waiting. The 4 were moving extremely slow with no one in front of them and lucky for us they only played 9. The group of 2 was equally as guilty of slow play, when we made the turn they continued and my wife and I stopped for a drink. We caught up to them on hole 13 and slowed right back down.
My view is that either a someone needs to be on the course watching groups moving slow or space the tee times out some more.
Course itself would have been awesome but I was so upset with the pace that I didn’t enjoy it. Wouldn’t mind going back but hope next time people either let others play through or tee times are spaced out some more.
