Course was in good shape
An average public course but well maintained. Plays a little longer than the average courses.
Nice course... enough variation from hole to hole to keep you interested.
Brought my wife to this course for the first time and she enjoyed herself. We played the shorter/tighter north 9 and found it to be a really nice blend of holes with lots of elevation changes. It was busy, but we never really waited on any tee boxes. Course was in nice shape, bur tee boxes were in rough shape. Pleasant staff. Would definitely play here again.
Sunday Morning Tee Time
Excellent time to get out a play a round. Course is in good shape, slow play was non-existent. Tee boxes were over used, need to move them
Easy to Walk, open fairways, semi fast greens
27 holes, good short game practice facility, driving range, club house w/bar. Some water on the course but fairly easy to play and walk and nicely maintained.
Great Course for the $
First time playing the course and it poured rain all morning so I was concerned about the conditions of the course. No standing water, the greens were firm and the fairways dried out nicely. Friendly and helpful staff as well. Overall a fabulous outing!
Horrible Golfing Experience
I wanted to take a moment and describe my horrible experience golfing Eastern Hills Golf course located in Kalamazoo MI. My issue with this course is not the course itself but rather the un-professional people employed at the course. I have worked locally in Kalamazoo of over fifteen years and I feel strongly about supporting local municipal courses. Unfortunately, after my experience at Easter Hills Golf Club I will no longer continue my support. My unpleasant golfing experience started the moment I stepped on the course. Not only did the grounds workers fail to stop working while we were teeing off and putting, one worker approached me in a physically threatening manor and proceeded to yell, swear, and cuss at me. I was so caught off guard by his behavior I failed to realize until after the altercation that he was upset about me running over a rope that was on the ground, apparently signifying a wet area. I informed the golf course management about the situation and was met with indifference at best. My conversation with the golf pro ended with him smerking at the description of my experience. He neither refunded my money nor gave any credence to my complaint. I’m not sure whose behavior was more deplorable in this situation; the ground’s worker or the response I received from the golf-pro. Thank you for taking the time to read my review.
nice course on East side of city
nice course. more scenic on the west nine through the woods, and a water hole. , with hills. Greens a little messy with some kind of leafs. May be due to the high winds. . could be marked better where next hole is. Beer was a good value, didn't price gouge .
Mr tee
Great course!! Everything was Outstanding. Get your staff some HELP! Wait time for service was totally way to long 10-15 min..
Hunter
The course is great, but we booked for 18 for 88 dollars and we got to the course the guy behind the desk tried to tell me we only booked for 9, and would not honor the price we booked the round for! After griping he refunded me a whopping. 30 bucks. So we still payed over the booking price. So prepare to pay extra at the course :p
Fun player friendly golf course
I enjoyed this well maintained course. More open than some I've played and more level. Par 3s are mostly 170 + & par 5s all give u plenty of chances to use your fairway woods as well as some of the par 4s. I had fun and the fall colors were still abundant as were the trees on this well laid out golf course.
27 hole course.
I like the layout of eastern hills not too challenging but not easy either. Nice course.
Eastern Hills was a great play
Great deal, quick play and a great price. Course was in good shape and the people were friendly.
Great course for a great price!
Friendly staff, no issues with my golf now online reservation. Course itself is in nice condition. Greens are in excellent shape. It was easy enough for a beginning golfer in our group while challenging enough for a more advanced golfer with us as well. Food at the turn is great, awesome Bloody Mary drinks!
80 degrees and sunny
Morning golf is the best. Had a great day. Course was challenging and forgiving when I strayed from the fairway.
Eastern is looking GREAT!
Eastern is in as good a shape as I've seen it over the past 10 years. From the Tee boxes right up to the greens, everything was well manicured and kept. Play moved along at a very good rate and the food at the turn was very good and priced appropriately... and it was served with a smile!! Overall, our foursome had a great time and really enjoyed the round. Thanks Eastern!!
Go for it
Good course. I would go back again. Golf now prices are great.
introduced a friend to Eastern Hills
I live about 4 miles from Eastern Hills and actually play my weekly league there. But my friend that I played with had never been there.
Eastern is a real nice course with many challenging holes. It won't cripple you but it's still a very challenging layout. Greens are in fine shape and the fairways and rough is well maintained.
Terrific professional and a real nice staff round out a very nice place to play.
We played it in just over 3 hours on Sunday afternoon.
Try Eastern Hills. You'll like it.
Great practice.
Is course is a great way to practice all of your shots. With long straight fairways, a few bunkers scattered throughout, and not too deep rough, eastern hills is a terrific course.
Always enjoy playing Eastern!
Greens were in good shape for the time of year. Very convenient & couldn't beat the deal! Will definitely be back!
This does not at all sound like the Eastern Hills I have known for many years. One of the many reasons I continue to play at Eastern Hills is because of the friendly and professional staff.
