Perfect greens
We played last Sunday and had a great time. Tee times were right on time, and the course was in great condition. We play almost every Friday evening with a group of friends and always enjoy our golf experience. The staff seem happy and works with our group despite heavy Friday traffic.
Things are looking like they are going in the right direction for this fun course.
Wow
Really gone downhill. Greens are awful, pace of play is terrible. This is a $20 course at the very most now which sucks. Go play somewhere else for the money.
Good Back up
Course is nice and well kepted, but it lacks a few things for the price of $62.
First, they have no Cart service what so ever. Not sure what the situation was but kept getting different stories from the clubhouse worker. Second is the way they pack you in the course. They send everyone out in foursomes and expect you to keep pace of play. Even when you are paired with weekend warrior golfers that play very slow.
Public Now
Formerly private course available to the public now. Very well kept and fun to play
Don’t waste your money
Staff was friendly, but the course itself is in rough shape. Greens had leafs and other debris all over them, tee boxes were very scuffed up, and more then half the holes are 90 degree dog legs and the ones that aren’t are blind tee shots. For me it was definitely the course layout that ruined my experience there, it feels like you play the same hole half of the time.
1st time there
Overall fine experience, lack of alcohol sucked but it is what it is, greens weren't in the best condition
Not worth $60
I’ve played this course a few times recently. I played it back when it was private once. The course has totally deteriorated. It is clearly investors are not interested in making this a great experience. The greens are diseased, and some of them are almost unputtable (ie. #7 ). The course is just totally in disrepair. You go into the bar/restaurant, and it looks like it hasn’t had anyone eat there in years. Very dark and gloomy. The staff is very nice, but they don’t seem to know that much about what’s going on. And I feel bad for them, they probably are understaffed as well. The play was extremely slow, and the courses just not worth the money at all. I did a special with GolfNow, so for $38. It was still disappointing. A much better Value is Sycamore Hills next-door. I hope the owners read this and realize that someone else said in their comment that in a few years, this will be Fern Hill, Because they’re not wrong. Sad but true.
Worth a Play
I was not impressed with this course considering it was private for so many years.
The carts, club house, on course facilities, pro shop, bridges, cart paths, and greens on the course are in need of investment.
The course plays difficult. With many trees, narrow, and sloping greens.
Worth the low money, but think this course will become Fern Hill eventually
