Slow pace
For early spring the course was in decent shape, only problem like most courses in the area they overbooked tee times. The first 9 took over 3 hours to play. That’s ridiculous. pace was a bit better on the second 9 but still almost 6 hours to play 18 was a bit much.
Left early
We couldn't finish. Fairways missing grass. Hitting from bare clay, very compacted soil in the fairway. Saw carts doing laps around greens parking on fringe. Very backed up, 3 groups per hole. Left at the 12th hole (4 hours) and won't be returning.
The course is in rough shape
The greens were bumpy and none of the sand traps were raked. I was very disappointed with the conditions overall it was like they are just doing the bare minimum to keep the course open
Great Job with the leaves
Big deal this time of year is dealing with the leaves. Course was in excellent shape and pace of play was great.
The leaves
It was just so frustrating, leaves at the tee box, leaves in the fairway and of course leaves on the green. Saw bunch of folks with portable blowers, well, we found the hard way why. Lost half a dozen balls. That’s fall golf in Michigan. It could have been better. A lot of other courses had done a better job. Take it for what’s it worth.
Good course. A little short but still fun. Pricey.
Lots of parking available. They have a small driving range as well. The staff was great. They were attentive and helpful. Starter was engaged and aware of where he was sending groups. Probably the nicest starter I’ve engaged with while out golfing. They’re usually mad and upset but this guy was great. The course is a little on the short side but any group will still have fun here. Fairways and greens were taken care of. Only came across one hole where there was a ton of little branches and leaves all over the green. Had to clean up the line before putting. It was probably due to the windstorm the night prior though. 40 dollars seems kind of high but when you compare it to other local courses it’s comparable. There was a cart girl driving around even in early November so that’s a plus. Overall experience was really good. I would definitely play this course again.
Great Day of Golf
It was a beautiful day.
The only problem was pace of play. 2:24 tee time, but couldn't go off until 2:55. Backed up at nearly every hole.
The foursome two groups ahead of me each hit 2 or three balls off the first tee. Yikes.
Dead Carts
Cart died on the back 9, no answer when we called the club house, walked the last 2 holes. Politely let them know we pushed the cart off to the outside of the cart path off the fairway and they said tough crap in other words, and kinda laughed. Not the greatest look. Other than. That the course was nice the greens worked in my favor, leafy out there but what can you do when it’s the end of the season. Not sure if I’d go back.
Beautiful course
Despite the golf outing going on me and a buddy had no issue or really any run in with other players out on the course, pace was great, holes were beautiful, alittle bumpy on some greens and I wish players would fix their divots on the fairways and greens.
Great course, would recommend to friends
Fun well laid out course , easy to get around, nice tee boxes. Greens and fairways were alittle bumpy. Friendly staff. All in all I’ll be going back !
A Bumpy Ride or Walk in My Case
I was not told the greens had been recently aerated and the cost I was charged to play did not reflect this. Staff in pro shop could not have been more rude to me and quite dismissive of my questions when asked.
The North course is a solid 9; however, the west had fours holes jammed into the back portion of the property. Play the north and south if you can.
All in all there are several better courses in the area.
