Pleasant Hills Golf Course
About
Located just south of Mount Pleasant, Pleasant Hills Golf Club is just a few minutes from Central Michigan University and Soaring Eagle Casino. True to its name, the course is spread across gently rolling hills dappled with mature trees. The course is just under 6,050 yards from the back tees. The layout is player friendly enough to appeal to beginners but it still has a few challenges in store from watered fairways to strategically placed bunkers. The golf course offers a nice mix of holes, beginning with a reachable par 5. Pleasant Hills' final hole, also a par 5, is a long straightaway with out-of-bounds lining the right side and a pond on the left. Long hitters will be able to reach it in two and the rest will face an uphill approach to the mid-sized green.

2nd Green. Very large, two tiered green which is tough to hold coming up the hill. Nice view as well as it's one of the highest points on the course. Photo submitted by u314161955381 on 10/27/2022

17th green. Super fun risk reward par five at 512 with water in front of the green. Belted a 5 wood from 235 to here and this was what I had for eagle. I missed it, sadly but still made birdie. Photo submitted by u314161955381 on 10/27/2022

Nice but worn.... could use some work in the bunkers and clean up the rough.
You get what you pay for
The fairways are not visible but the green are well kept and challenging. You don't pay $10 for a cart and 18 holes and expect to play on a PGA level course. PHGC a fun little track and great for the individual on a budget or just learning the game
Decent for the price
If you're just looking to play a cheap course and hit a few balls this is the course to go to.
Fairways are in rough shape and bunkers are not playable, but they are not overcharging for what they have.
Okay for the price
Course condition is pretty terrible but you get what your pay for, decent cheap place. Can't really tell where the "fairways" are. Don't think it gets watered very often, greens and fairways are extremely hard and fast. Layout is good, would be a good walking course, no backtracking.
Not worth it
The fairways are basically like cement, you can’t use irons well and when you hit the ground you feel like you are going to break your club. Greens are dead. Huge dead spots everywhere on the green and fairways. Maybe their watering system broke? Or they don’t have one? Would recommend getting one.
Slow and no
My wife and I played this course last year.So we got a hot deal. The pace will slow Fairways baked But the greens were good. After 5 my wife Hurt her arm And couldn't continue play.So we went to the clubhouse to check for a rain check or refund.I was told That I would have to contact golf now For any refund or rain check. No refund unless course is closed due to weather And almost 2 hrs to play 5 holes. Beware of Hot Deal policy.
Excellent course for its value
Well because of COVID-19, bunkers aren’t allowed to be played in, which I’m not complaining. We’ve also been struggling with a drought here in Michigan. With that being said, the greens played awesome, however, some fairways that are baking in the sun all day are dying in some parts, not all. But, there was barely anybody out today when I golfed, so I got to play at my own pace. Which was probably just over 2.5 hours. Course is recovering though, and highly recommend golfing here someday! Great bang for your buck! I been here 18 times here at least (halfway through July) and will continue to play here.
Get what you pay for
For 10 bucks it’s hard to beat. But the course is not in great shape. Dead greens and fairways, weeds, and hard ground everywhere. Not sure if they water often but it would be nicer if they watered more and somehow lengthened the course. But again 10 bucks is hard to beat when you just wanna get in.
