Terra Verde Golf Course

The course is getting better in some areas like the rough; now when I played it was evident they hadn’t mowed in a few days, it was playing like the pga championship, ball just disappeared if you weren’t in the fairway and took a good swing to get it out. The tee boxes were a little beat up, especially 2 and 3. It also looks like they’re doing some renovations with the landscape, hopefully for the better! Greens were in good shape though!

Greens are a bit slow, but the course is in very nice shape. I love the layout and the lady who runs the place is very kind.

I understand April golf in Michigan won’t have the best conditions. The courses didn’t even have a fairway… it was all the same length. Tee boxes and greens were the only thing cut… I say that lightly… I’d rather putt on my living room carpet. Probably would have had better rolls and rolled out more too. Green speed had to be rolling at a 6. Pace of play was great. Only one other golfer on the course at the time, looked to be a crackhead. He buzzed by us pretty quick after that open sailing.

Booked 4 people w/cart for 18. At the turn it was 3:00, with sunset being at 5:50. After getting a bite to eat from the clubhouse we stepped back outside at about 3:15. We were told by the staff member we needed to be done by 5:30, because that was when they wanted to close. The carts had the nice displays built in. Starting at 5:15, the staff member started sending messages to our carts to start heading back to the clubhouse. It was very annoying. We ended up skipping a short par 3 to play the last hole. Their website states hours are 7AM- 6PM. The treatment was uncalled for, we payed to golf, and were cut short without a refund.

Also, this is the only course I have ever golfed that didn’t have sand traps. You could see they existed at one time, but have since went been left to turn to grass.

Nice course and in great shape for late September, certainly will at again when I the area, great value for your hard earned loot.

If you need to get out and hit the ball and are not concerned with fancy, this is your place. We had a good time the greens were punched and sanded…putting was insane. Lovely staff that was very helpful and supportive of a quick pace of play. Set expectations correctly and this can be fun!

Course was in pretty decent shape. It was the first time ( and likely the only time since we are full time travelers) we’ve played this course and my wife and I both scored well. It’s fun to play a course on occasion that does not have dozens of sand traps, tight fairways with high grass in the rough, and water hazards on every hole. As seniors that play often but not at professional levels, it makes you feel good getting better scores.

We booked this as part of a hot deal thinking that’s what we were getting. The course has no irrigation and I would not have traveled as far or paid as much to play there, knowing the course conditions. I Have played courses like this in the past, but there regular rates were as much as this supposed hot deal.

Had a foursome in front of us and took 3hr to play the front 9. Greens were slow and tee boxes were beat up and so hard I broke a tee putting it in the ground. Decent layout. Would play again if the price was a little better and it wasn’t as crowded.
